Pace Edwards' SwitchBlade pairs a weather-resistant ArmorTek deck with a removable canister for owners who sometimes need every inch of the bed. It clamps on without cutting or drilling on most trucks, and a built-in pull strap brings the deck back to the tailgate. Order SWDA25A56 for a 2019-2026 Ram 1500 with the 6'4" bed (76.3" measured) and no RamBox or Multifunction Tailgate.
What's Included:
SwitchBlade retractable cover with its removable canister
Side rails with built-in U-channel gutters
Clamp system for mounting the rails
Racks and other bed accessories are sold separately.
Features
ArmorTek Over Rigid Aluminum The deck is made of rigid aluminum top panels laminated with ArmorTek padded vinyl, a weather-resistant overlay bonded to the metal.
Release the Latch, It Retracts Release the rear latch and Pace Edwards' heavy-duty Continuous Tension Spring takes over, drawing the cover into a low-profile canister mounted at the bulkhead for nearly full access to the bed.
Lifts Out for Full Bed Access The canister and cover come out as one assembly in minutes, so the whole bed is available for a big load and the cover goes back on afterward.
Built-In Rain Gutters Recessed U-channels in the side rails work as gutters in heavy rain and send water out of the bed through drainage tubes. The cover is weather resistant, not waterproof.
Pull Strap Closing A built-in pull strap brings the deck back over the bed from the tailgate end.
Fully Open or Fully Closed The deck runs smoothly along the rails with no stopping points, so it is used fully open or fully closed rather than locked partway.
Clear View Rearward The cover allows full rear visibility, and its contoured canister stays low at the front of the bed.
Clamp-On Mounting The SwitchBlade clamps to the truck with its included clamp system, with no cutting or drilling on most trucks. Only a bed without factory drain holes needs holes drilled, and those are for the drain tubes, not the cover.

Installation
Type: clamp-on, no cutting or drilling on most trucks · Drain tubes: factory drain holes, or 3/4" drilled holes where there are none · Removal: canister and cover lift out as one assembly
This cover clamps onto the truck with its included clamp system, with no cutting or drilling on most trucks. The drain tubes use the factory drain holes or ports at the front of the bed; a truck without them needs 3/4" holes drilled for the tubes. Pace Edwards lists a Phillips head screwdriver and a 7/16" wrench as the tools for mounting and says the job takes under an hour. The same mounting lets the canister and cover come out as one assembly in minutes when the whole bed is needed.
This installation film shows the same cover going onto a 2019-2026 Ram 1500. The steps match your truck's generation; the bed length in the film may differ from yours.
Warranty. Pace Edwards backs the SwitchBlade with a two-year limited warranty. It covers ArmorTek deck material delamination, a failed Continuous Tension Spring, and all hardware and components. Not covered: normal wear and tear such as fading or discoloration, water that gets in at any point and the damage it causes, added parts and accessories, and acts of nature. Coverage is void after lubrication other than what the owner or installation manual prescribes, misuse, negligence or accident, improper installation, cargo that is not secured, or an accessory installed without Pace Edwards' written permission that interferes with the cover. Pace Edwards repairs or replaces a defective part at its discretion and does not cover consequential damage to the vehicle or other property. Shipping. The carrier and ship method are set by the size and weight of the carton when the order is placed. Inspect on delivery. Open the carton when it arrives and check the cover, rails and hardware before you start the install. Note any visible carton damage on the delivery receipt and photograph it, because damage reported later is much harder to claim.
Returns. Unused items in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery. If an item arrives damaged, defective or wrong, return shipping is on us. See our Returns & Refunds Policy, or email support@prestigetruck.com with any question.
About Pace Edwards
Pace Edwards has built retractable truck bed covers since 1988, designed around security, straightforward operation and a streamlined look that keeps a pickup looking like a pickup. The SwitchBlade carries a two-year limited warranty.
The SwitchBlade is the Pace Edwards cover built for quick removal: its canister and ArmorTek-over-aluminum deck lift out together, and it travels fully open or closed with no stops. The SwitchBlade Metal uses the same layout with a powder-coated aluminum slat deck, while the JackRabbit and Full Metal JackRabbit add a twist lock and lock positions every 12". Pace Edwards' manual covers are the JackRabbit, Full Metal JackRabbit, SwitchBlade, SwitchBlade Metal, UltraGroove and UltraGroove Metal, and the BedLocker and UltraGroove Electric add powered operation.
Pace Edwards builds its decks on aluminum, laminated with its padded ArmorTek overlay or finished in powder coat, and its manual covers retract on the company's own Continuous Tension Spring. Drain tubes carry water that reaches the canister out of the bed.

Quick on, quick off
The SwitchBlade clamps on without cutting or drilling on most trucks, and its canister and cover lift out together in minutes when a load needs the entire bed. Rigid aluminum panels under ArmorTek padded vinyl give the deck a clean, weather-resistant top.
Retracts on a Tension Spring
Release the rear latch and Pace Edwards' Continuous Tension Spring draws the deck smoothly into a low-profile canister at the bulkhead, with no stops along the way. A built-in pull strap brings it back to the tailgate.

Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers on specs, fit and support
Do I have to drill into my truck to install it?
Not on most trucks. The SwitchBlade clamps on with its included clamp system, without cutting or drilling. The drain tubes use the factory drain holes or ports at the front of the bed; a truck without them needs 3/4" holes drilled for the tubes. Where Pace Edwards lists a fit note for a truck, such as factory bed storage boxes or a factory rail system, it appears under Fit guidance and in the Notes column of the fitment table on that part's page.
Will it keep rain and snow out of the bed?
It is weather resistant rather than waterproof. Recessed U-channels in the side rails act as gutters and send water out of the bed through drainage tubes. Pace Edwards' warranty excludes water intrusion, so keep anything that must stay dry in a sealed container.
Can I stop the cover partway open?
No. The SwitchBlade has no stopping points along the rails, so it is used fully open or fully closed. If you want lock positions every 12", look at the Pace Edwards JackRabbit or Full Metal JackRabbit.
Can I take the cover off for a big load?
Yes. The canister and cover come out as one assembly in minutes, which opens the entire bed, and they go back in the same way.
How is the bed secured when the cover is closed?
The deck holds closed with a latch at the rear. With the cover shut and the tailgate locked, the bed is closed off from the outside.
How long is the warranty?
Two years. Pace Edwards covers ArmorTek deck material delamination, a failed Continuous Tension Spring, and all hardware and components. Normal wear, fading and water intrusion are excluded.
