A button on the key fob opens and closes the UltraGroove Electric, which is what separates it from the hand pulled covers in the range. An electric motor wired to the truck battery drives a deck of heavy gauge aluminum slats into a canister at the front of the bed, and an electro magnetic brake holds it wherever you stop. Lose power and a drive system release lever overrides the brake so the deck can still be moved. The slats are powder coated black and joined with interlocking silicone hinge seals. Made in the USA.

Installation instructions

Features
Key fob operation Two wireless fobs come with the cover and either one opens or closes it without touching the bed. The motor draws from the truck battery, so there is no crank handle and no reaching under the deck to unlatch anything.
Brake locks it anywhere An electro magnetic brake holds the deck at any point on the rails, so the opening can be sized to the load. If power is lost, the drive system release lever overrides the brake and the cover can be worked by hand.
Heavy gauge slat deck Extruded aluminum slats carry a black powder coat and interlock through silicone hinge seals. The result is a metal deck that curls into the canister without leaving open joints for water to find.
Rails that drain The side rails are recessed U channels that work as gutters, moving water to the front or the rear depending on how the truck sits. Drain tubes at both ends carry it out of the bed and overflow holes in the canister help.
Clamp on, no drill Turn knob clamps hold the mounting rails to the bed rails on most trucks, so the install needs no wrench and no holes. The motor wiring runs to the battery for power.
T-slot rack rails The Rail Expansion System puts T-slots in both rails so rack feet and gear mounts attach to the rails themselves. Bikes or cargo baskets can ride over a closed cover and the cover still runs underneath them.

Installation
Type: Clamp-on rails, motor wires to the battery · Time: Not published by Pace Edwards · Tools: Turn knob clamps, no wrench on most trucks · Difficulty: Simple on the rails, wiring adds a step
Mounting follows the manual covers in the range. The rails sit on the bed rails and turn knob clamps pull them down by hand on most applications, with no holes drilled for the rails themselves. The extra job here is power, since the motor has to be run to the truck battery. Drain tubes may need a hole on some trucks.
Warranty, Shipping & Returns
Warranty. Pace Edwards writes seven year limited terms on this cover, covering material and workmanship, separation of the deck panels, the drive system and its electrical parts and all hardware. Cover is prorated after the first five years. Fading, water intrusion and storm damage are excluded. Misuse, a bad install or the wrong lubricant voids the terms.
Free shipping. This item ships free to the lower 48 states. Because it is an oversized item, it ships by freight or oversized parcel and typically arrives in 3 to 7 business days.
Inspect on delivery. Please inspect the packaging before signing. If you see any damage, note it on the delivery receipt and contact us right away, and we will make it right.
Returns. Unused items in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery. If an item arrives damaged, defective or wrong, return shipping is on us. See our Returns & Refunds Policy, or email support@prestigetruck.com with any question.
About Pace Edwards
Pace Edwards makes retractable bed covers in the USA, both hand pulled and powered. The powered models use the same rail and canister layout as the manual ones, with a motor and a brake taking over the job the pull strap does on the rest of the range.
Accessories for the electric covers come from the same maker. Hard wired switches for the cab or the tailgate and a Bluetooth module for a phone are offered separately, so the cover can be set up for one driver with a fob or for a shared truck with fixed controls.
Warranty length at Pace Edwards is set by the model. The electric covers are written for seven years and cover the drive system and the electrical parts as well as the deck and hardware, with the last two years prorated.

UltraGroove Electric Fast Facts on a Titan
A short overview filmed with the cover on a Nissan Titan. It shows the fob opening and closing the deck, where the canister sits and how the rails carry the slats, which is the clearest look at the speed of the drive.
Closed cover on a Titan
A short silent clip lifted from that same footage. A black Titan sits in profile with the deck closed flat across the bed, which shows how little the cover stands above the bed rails from the side.
Rail line from the side
The same few seconds again, playing without sound. From the side you can follow the rail line down the bed and see how flat the closed deck sits, with the truck parked on the road rather than staged in a studio.

Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers on specs, fit and support
How is the cover powered?
An electric motor built into the cover runs from the truck battery, and the wiring for it is part of the install. Two wireless key fobs come in the box, so opening and closing is a button press from wherever you are standing. There is nothing to crank or pull.
What happens if the battery goes flat?
The cover has a drive system release lever that overrides the electro magnetic brake. Pull it and the deck can be moved by hand, so a dead battery does not leave cargo locked in the bed or the cover stuck halfway along the rails.
Can it stop partway along the bed?
Yes, and at any point rather than at set notches. The electro magnetic brake holds the deck wherever the fob button is released, so the opening can be matched to what is being loaded and then closed the same way.
How well does it handle rain?
The slats interlock on silicone hinge seals and the side rails are recessed U channels that work as gutters. Water runs to drain tubes at the front and rear of the rails, with overflow holes in the lower canister as backup. Perimeter seals and end caps close the edges.
Will a rack fit over the cover?
The Rail Expansion System puts T-slot grooves in both rails, so rack feet and gear mounts bolt into the rails instead of clamping onto the deck. Gear can stay on top while the cover still opens and closes underneath it.
Are wall switches or phone control included?
No. The cover ships with the two key fobs only. Manual switches for the cab or the tailgate and a Bluetooth module that lets a phone run the cover are offered as separate items, so add them at the time of order if you want them.
