Features
- Levels out the factory rake: Most trucks sit lower in front from the factory. A ReadyLIFT leveling kit raises the front so the truck sits closer to level, and on some trucks it leaves a slight rake on purpose.
- Room for a bigger tire: The added front height opens up the wheel wells. ReadyLIFT lists a tested maximum tire size for each kit, often up to 33" or 35", shown on each truck's page.
- Lift method matched to the truck: ReadyLIFT uses the method each front suspension calls for: strut spacers on coil-over struts, forged torsion keys on torsion bar trucks, and coil spring spacers or lift springs on solid-axle trucks.
- Billet aluminum or steel spacers: Many kits use CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum spacers; others use fabricated or plate steel. Each kit's parts list says which.
- Keeps a smooth factory ride: ReadyLIFT says its top-mount strut extensions keep a smooth OEM ride without adding pressure to the stock suspension parts, and that they install without compressing the springs.
- Pairs with a rear block or spacer: ReadyLIFT designs its rear block and spacer kits to work with its leveling kits, for owners who want to add a little height back at the rear.
Description & Fitment
The ReadyLIFT SST Leveling Kit, part 66-1070, raises the front of a 2WD 2005-2010 Dodge Dakota or 2011 Ram Dakota by 2" so the truck sits level instead of nose down. It uses steel front strut extensions that mount on top of the factory struts, with the hardware for the strut tops. ReadyLIFT's guide reuses the factory struts and lower bolts, so no shocks or struts are included, and the guide calls for an alignment afterward. 4WD Dakotas are not covered.

Check your truck: Match your model year and model to the fitment table. On every row: 2WD only. Plan on a front-end alignment and a headlamp re-aim after the install (ReadyLIFT guide).
Not for: 4WD Dakotas, and model years or trucks outside the fitment table.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit my Dakota?
It fits 2WD 2005-2010 Dodge Dakota and 2011 Ram Dakota trucks. 4WD trucks are not covered. Not sure? Send us your VIN and we'll check.
Does it come with new struts or shocks?
No. The kit adds steel extensions on top of your factory struts, which are reinstalled. ReadyLIFT's guide asks for a wheel alignment once it is in.
Does a leveling kit lift the rear too?
No. A leveling kit raises the front only, so the truck sits closer to level. For more height at the rear, ReadyLIFT makes rear block and rear spacer kits.
Will I need an alignment afterward?
Yes. ReadyLIFT's install guides call for a wheel alignment after installation, and they recommend re-checking headlamp aim, since a lifted front changes where the beams land.
What is the largest tire I can run?
Each kit's page lists ReadyLIFT's tested maximum tire for that truck, often 33" or 35". ReadyLIFT bases its tire sizes on specific wheel and tire brands, so test fit your combination before you mount it.
Can I install it myself?
ReadyLIFT highly recommends installation by a certified professional mechanic and says to read the full instructions before starting. Each kit's page links its own install guide.
Installation
Here's the short version. Follow ReadyLIFT's install guide (below) for your truck's exact steps, hardware and torque settings.
- Raise and support the front. With the truck on level ground, lift the front, remove the wheels and tires, disconnect the upper sway bar end links and support the suspension.
- Unbolt the strut. Remove the upper strut mounting nuts and the lower strut nut and bolt.
- Free the spindle. Loosen the upper ball joint nut but leave it on, then break the joint loose as the guide shows and separate it.
- Fit the extension. Lower the suspension, remove the strut and install the extension on it with the factory nuts, tightened to factory spec.
- Reinstall the strut. Put the strut assembly back rotated 180 degrees from original so the upper and lower mounts line up. Attach the top with the supplied hardware and the bottom with the factory bolt and nut, then torque.
- Reconnect and align. Raise the suspension enough to reconnect the upper ball joint and torque it, reconnect the end links and wheels, then test drive, re-check all work, have the truck aligned and re-aim the headlamps.

Warranty
ReadyLIFT backs its products with its "No Hassle" product warranty, which its install guides call a limited lifetime warranty. In ReadyLIFT's words: "If it breaks, we will give you a new part."- It covers the original purchaser of the ReadyLIFT product only.
- Products with missing or defective components are covered. ReadyLIFT expedites the replacement part and may ask for the defective part back, at its expense, so its quality team can check it; that return does not hold up the replacement.
- Wearable components, including but not limited to shocks, ball joints, heim joints, bushings and steering extensions, are covered for up to 1 year.
- ReadyLIFT leveling kits, block kits and lift kits are not intended for off-road abuse, and damage from off-road abuse voids the warranty. Exception: ReadyLIFT Jeep SST and Terrain Flex lift kits are designed for normal off-road use and stay covered in recreational off-road environments.
- Not covered: discontinued, clearance or outlet products; labor, installation, surcharges or other fees from the original purchase; consequential damage to the vehicle. ReadyLIFT may change, modify or cancel the warranty without prior notice.
