Features

  • 1.5 to 2 degrees more caster: ReadyLIFT says the bushings add 1.5 to 2 degrees of positive caster, giving back the caster a level or lift takes away.
  • Replaces the factory caster slug: Each bushing slides over the upper ball joint stud into the hole the factory caster slug came out of. Your factory castle nut and cotter pin go back on.
  • Precision-machined pair: The kit is one pair of precision-machined caster correction bushings, one for each side of the truck.
  • Steadier steering, even tire wear: With caster back in range, ReadyLIFT says alignment geometry and steering performance improve. Its install guide notes that a wrong alignment wears tires on the inside or outside edge.
  • For 8-lug 4WD Super Duty: ReadyLIFT designed the kit for leveled or lifted 2005-2026 Ford Super Duty 4WD trucks with 8-lug wheels.
  • Alignment required: ReadyLIFT's guide has you record caster and camber before and after the swap, and a wheel alignment is required afterward; ReadyLIFT's warranty is void without one.

Description & Fitment

The ReadyLIFT Caster Bushing Kit, part 67-2500CB, is one pair of precision-machined caster correction bushings for 2005-2026 Ford F-250, F-350 and F-450 Super Duty trucks that have been leveled or lifted. Each bushing replaces the factory caster slug at the upper ball joint, and ReadyLIFT says the pair adds 1.5 to 2 degrees of positive caster to bring alignment and steering feel back after a lift, which can also cut uneven tire wear. ReadyLIFT designed it for 8-lug trucks only. It does not lift the truck, and an alignment is required after it goes in.

Not for: 2WD trucks, 5-lug trucks, stock-height trucks that do not need more caster, and model years outside the fitment table.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this fit my Super Duty?

It is listed for 2005-2026 F-250, F-350 and F-450 Super Duty trucks, with the row limits in the fitment table (4WD trucks only; no 2020 F-350 Tremor). ReadyLIFT designed it for 8-lug, leveled or lifted trucks. If you're unsure, send us your VIN and your lift details and we'll check.

Does it lift the truck?

No. It corrects caster after a lift or level, adding 1.5 to 2 degrees of positive caster per ReadyLIFT. Your shop will need to align the truck once the bushings are in.

Does it work on 2WD trucks?

ReadyLIFT describes the kit for 4WD Super Duty trucks, and our fitment table lists 4WD trucks only. Have a 2WD truck? Contact us before you order.

Is hardware included?

The kit is the pair of bushings. Your factory castle nuts and cotter pins are reused, per ReadyLIFT's install guide.

Will I need an alignment afterward?

Yes. ReadyLIFT requires a wheel alignment after the bushings go in, and its warranty does not cover a truck that was not aligned.

Can I install it myself?

The swap is done one side at a time at the upper ball joint, and ReadyLIFT estimates about 3 hours plus the alignment. A pry bar or pickle fork may be needed to free the factory slug. If you are unsure, have a shop do it.

AfterwardWheel alignment requiredre-check torque after 500 miles (ReadyLIFT guide)

Here's the short version. Follow ReadyLIFT's install guide (below) for your truck's exact steps, hardware and torque settings.

  1. Measure first. Support the front on jack stands at the frame rails behind the lower control arms, then record the truck's baseline caster and camber in the guide's table.
  2. Open the ball joint. Remove the front wheel, then the cotter pin and castle nut from the upper ball joint, keeping the factory hardware.
  3. Remove the factory slug. Pull the factory caster bushing up and out; a pry bar or pickle fork may help. Take care not to damage the coating on the knuckle.
  4. Fit the ReadyLIFT bushing. Slide it around the ball joint stud into the hole the factory slug came out of, with the slot pointing outboard.
  5. Close it up. Reinstall the castle nut and torque it to factory spec with the castellations lined up, refit the cotter pin and the wheel, then repeat on the passenger side.
  6. Align and re-check. Measure the new alignment figures, have the truck aligned, and re-check all hardware torque after 500 miles.

Warranty, shipping & returns

  • Warranty

ReadyLIFT backs its products with its "No Hassle" product warranty, which its install guides call a limited lifetime warranty. In ReadyLIFT's words: "If it breaks, we will give you a new part."
    • It covers the original purchaser of the ReadyLIFT product only.
    • Products with missing or defective components are covered. ReadyLIFT expedites the replacement part and may ask for the defective part back, at its expense, so its quality team can check it; that return does not hold up the replacement.
    • Wearable components, including but not limited to shocks, ball joints, heim joints, bushings and steering extensions, are covered for up to 1 year.
    • ReadyLIFT leveling kits, block kits and lift kits are not intended for off-road abuse, and damage from off-road abuse voids the warranty. Exception: ReadyLIFT Jeep SST and Terrain Flex lift kits are designed for normal off-road use and stay covered in recreational off-road environments.
    • Not covered: discontinued, clearance or outlet products; labor, installation, surcharges or other fees from the original purchase; consequential damage to the vehicle. ReadyLIFT may change, modify or cancel the warranty without prior notice.
