Features
- Complete A-pillar kit: A pair of pods and brackets made for one vehicle come as one Rigid kit, so the setup looks planned rather than pieced together.
- Vehicle-specific brackets: The brackets are made for one vehicle's A-pillars and use its own bolt points.
- Rigid LED pods: The kit is built on a pair of Rigid's own LED pods; the title and Specifications name the series and beam.
- Stainless steel brackets: Rigid makes the brackets in stainless steel with a powder coat rated for UV and abrasion.
- Mounted at the windshield line: The pods sit at the base of the windshield, high enough to throw light over the hood.
- Limited Lifetime warranty: Rigid backs the lights with its Limited Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects.
Description & Fitment
The Rigid D-XL Spot A-Pillar Kit puts a pair of D-XL pods on vehicle-specific stainless steel brackets at the base of the windshield on the 2023-2027 Ford F-250 Super Duty and F-350 Super Duty. It is for owners who want long-throw spot lighting mounted at the windshield line. The D-XL is the bigger cube in Rigid's D line, and its spot pattern sends most of the output far rather than wide at 7,128 raw lumens on 68 watts. A relay harness with switch, vibration isolators and mounting hardware are included, and the install needs no cutting or drilling and takes about 2 hours, not counting wiring.

Not for: Model years outside the range above: the body changes between generations, so other years need a different part. Same vehicle, other lights: 46800 (D-SS pods, spot); 46802 (4" 360-Series pods, spot). Other vehicles in this range use their own part numbers (46705, 46703, 46707, 46710, 46711, 46759, 46760, 46761, 46762, 46766, and more). Road use: Rigid lists no SAE beam for these lights, so they are for off-road use only.
About Rigid Industries
INDUSTRIES.
Rigid Industries started in Gilbert, Arizona in 2006 as a seller of powersports parts. Its engineers decided halogen and HID lamps were holding drivers back and went after a better light, and the company credits that work with its patented Hybrid Optical System and with launching the first LED light bar.
Rigid has since built lighting with OEM partners including Toyota, Ford and Polaris, and it says its lights are made to pass demanding OEM test standards. The range now runs from compact pods and round lights to curved and straight light bars, SAE street-legal lights and vehicle kits. Rigid is part of Clarience Technologies, a group of vehicle lighting, vision and safety brands.
Buying Rigid from Prestige Truck. We are an authorized Rigid dealer, and every Rigid light we sell is new, genuine Rigid product. Rigid's warranty protects the original buyer with proof of purchase and does not extend to lights bought from unauthorized third-party marketplace sellers, so keep your Prestige Truck order receipt with your records.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which vehicles does it fit?
The 2023-2027 Ford F-250 Super Duty and F-350 Super Duty. Other years use a different Rigid part.
How hard is the install?
Rigid's sheet lists no cutting or drilling, and puts the time at about 2 hours, not counting wiring. Rigid recommends a professional installation; the steps are in the Installation tab.
Is everything in one box?
This is one Rigid kit: a pair of pods with A-pillar brackets made for this vehicle. The summary at the top of this page gives Rigid's box list for this kit (hardware, harness, switch, covers), or says so when Rigid no longer publishes one.
Is this kit street legal?
No. Rigid lists the pods in this kit for off-road use only, so keep them switched off on public roads.
What does the warranty cover?
Rigid's Limited Lifetime Warranty covers the lights against manufacturing defects for the original buyer with proof of purchase; Rigid limits powder coating and lenses to 1 year. The Warranty section below has the full terms.
How should I clean the lens?
With mild soap and water or mineral spirits. Rigid's polycarbonate lenses can be damaged by ammonia-based cleaners and by road salt left on them, and that damage isn't covered, so avoid glass cleaners and automatic car washes and rinse salt off with fresh water.
Installation
- 10mm and 11mm (or 7/16") sockets
- 13mm socket with wobble extension
- Ratchet with 3" extension
- 5/32" Allen wrench
- 7/16" or 11mm wrench
- Panel tool
- Masking tape
- Anti-seize
Here's the short version. Follow Rigid's install sheet (below) for the exact positions, wiring and hardware.
- Cut the power first. Disconnect any power source connected to the vehicle before you touch fuses or wiring.
- Wipers and tape. Check the parts, lift the wiper arms off their shafts (keep the small keyway if it drops out) and tape the hood edges and fender tops.
- Cowl off. Remove the antenna, unclip the top half of the cowl (12 clips) and disconnect the driver-side washer lines.
- Upper bracket. Remove the 10mm fender bolt and the rear and center 13mm hinge bolts (all reused), set the upper bracket at the top of the fender and start the 10mm bolt loosely.
- A-pillar mount. Slide the mount between fender and hinge with the upper bracket on its outside, thread in the two 13mm bolts, check fender alignment and tighten.
- Join and repeat. Bolt bracket and mount together with the 1/4" button heads, washers and locknuts, repeat on the passenger side, then tighten the 10mm fender bolts.

Warranty
Rigid backs this light with its Limited Lifetime Warranty, which protects the original buyer against manufacturing defects as long as you can show proof of purchase.- Rigid sets time limits inside that cover: 5 years when the light is used in commercial, marine or industrial work (heavy-duty settings such as agriculture, mining or manufacturing), and 1 year on powder coating and lenses.
- If Rigid confirms a defect, it replaces the item, refunds it or issues store credit, at its discretion. Rigid may ask for photos or video before it approves a claim.
- Not covered: normal maintenance, service or adjustment; opening the light or breaking its water-tight seal, such as taking off the bezel or its screws (unless the light is built for lens swaps); accidents, alteration, misuse, neglect, abuse, vandalism or physical damage; repairs or changes made by anyone other than Rigid; improper installation, including electrical damage from it, or not following Rigid's instructions; use that goes against Rigid's warnings, labels or documentation; use with equipment or parts Rigid didn't make; fire, flood, lightning and other natural events; harsh road hazards, excessive heat and wear beyond normal; and damage caused by the delivering carrier.
- Lens care: the polycarbonate lens can be damaged by ammonia-based cleaners and, over time, by road salt, and Rigid does not cover either. Clean it with mild soap and water or mineral spirits, rinse salt off with fresh water, and skip automatic car washes, whose soap may contain ammonia.
- Rigid gives no other express or implied warranty, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, and is not liable for indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages. Rigid also states that some of its lights are built and sold only for off-road driving.
- Rigid's warranty does not apply to products bought from unauthorized sellers on third-party marketplaces. To make a claim, contact us with your order number and photos of the problem, and we'll take it through Rigid's process with you.
