Description & Fitment

This Rigid 40" behind-the-grille kit carries two SR-Series spot/drive bars on the 2024-2027 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD and 3500 HD and GMC Sierra 2500 HD and 3500 HD. It suits HD truck owners who want added off-road light while keeping the factory grille, which is not part of the kit. Spot and driving optics share each bar for reach plus some width, and stainless steel brackets, a relay harness with switch and mounting hardware are included. The install needs no cutting or drilling and takes about 1 hour, not counting wiring.

Rigid Industries started in Gilbert, Arizona in 2006 as a seller of powersports parts. Its engineers decided halogen and HID lamps were holding drivers back and went after a better light, and the company credits that work with its patented Hybrid Optical System and with launching the first LED light bar.

How should I clean the lens?

With mild soap and water or mineral spirits. Rigid's polycarbonate lenses can be damaged by ammonia-based cleaners and by road salt left on them, and that damage isn't covered, so avoid glass cleaners and automatic car washes and rinse salt off with fresh water.

Here's the short version. Follow Rigid's install sheet (below) for the exact positions, wiring and hardware.

  1. Cooling plate off. Check the parts, pull the 10 push pins holding the cooling plate, remove the two T10 bolts on the hood latch extension and lift the plate out.
  2. Top grille bolts. Remove the four 10mm bolts along the top of the grille.
  3. Fascia corners. Take out the T10 screws at the front of each fender liner, ease the flare back to reach the screw at the bumper edge, remove the 7mm corner screw and unclip the fascia panel from its bottom inside corner. Do both sides.
  4. Camera trucks. If the truck has a front camera, disconnect the washer line on the driver side and the camera plug on the passenger side.
  5. Grille off. Pull the grille off its rear clips and rest it on a blanket.
  6. Mounts in. Remove the 10mm and 18mm bolts the sheet marks on the driver side, fit the mount with those same bolts, then repeat on the passenger side.

    Rigid backs this light with its Limited Lifetime Warranty, which protects the original buyer against manufacturing defects as long as you can show proof of purchase.
    • Rigid sets time limits inside that cover: 5 years when the light is used in commercial, marine or industrial work (heavy-duty settings such as agriculture, mining or manufacturing), and 1 year on powder coating and lenses.
    • If Rigid confirms a defect, it replaces the item, refunds it or issues store credit, at its discretion. Rigid may ask for photos or video before it approves a claim.
    • Not covered: normal maintenance, service or adjustment; opening the light or breaking its water-tight seal, such as taking off the bezel or its screws (unless the light is built for lens swaps); accidents, alteration, misuse, neglect, abuse, vandalism or physical damage; repairs or changes made by anyone other than Rigid; improper installation, including electrical damage from it, or not following Rigid's instructions; use that goes against Rigid's warnings, labels or documentation; use with equipment or parts Rigid didn't make; fire, flood, lightning and other natural events; harsh road hazards, excessive heat and wear beyond normal; and damage caused by the delivering carrier.
    • Lens care: the polycarbonate lens can be damaged by ammonia-based cleaners and, over time, by road salt, and Rigid does not cover either. Clean it with mild soap and water or mineral spirits, rinse salt off with fresh water, and skip automatic car washes, whose soap may contain ammonia.
    • Rigid gives no other express or implied warranty, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, and is not liable for indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages. Rigid also states that some of its lights are built and sold only for off-road driving.
    • Rigid's warranty does not apply to products bought from unauthorized sellers on third-party marketplaces. To make a claim, contact us with your order number and photos of the problem, and we'll take it through Rigid's process with you.
