Description & Fitment
With this TeraFlex 1" Body Lift Kit, a 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ or Wrangler Unlimited LJ gains room for larger tires and high-clearance BellyUp Skid Plates while its center of gravity stays put. The spacers are UHMW (ultra-high-molecular-weight) polyethylene. TeraFlex recommends combining it with one of its spacer, coil spring or suspension system lifts for more clearance.

What's the difference from 1942100?
The lift is the same 1"; 1942101 uses UHMW polyethylene and 1942100 uses aluminum.
Will it clear BellyUp skid plates?
Yes. TeraFlex says it adds enough height for its high-clearance BellyUp Skid Plates.
Does it fit a JK?
No. The JK body lift is a separate kit, 4152100.

Installation
Here's the short version. Follow TeraFlex's install sheet (below) for your Jeep's exact steps and torque values.
- Remove the four fan shroud screws, and disconnect the transfer case shift linkage (four 10mm screws under the driver-side carpet, two 10mm bolts at the transfer case); set the parts aside.
- Loosen all 11 body mount bolts, then working one side at a time starting with the driver side, remove that side's body mount bolts including the front radiator support bolt.
- Raise the tub with a floor jack and a 2x4 and fit the 1" aluminum spacers between the tub and the rubber stock mounts, checking wires, hoses and the fuel filler neck are not stretched.
- Fit the new supplied bolts loosely (1/2" x 4.5" at mounts 2-4, 7/16" x 3.5" at 5-6, 7/16" x 4" at the radiator/grille mount) and the radiator support bracket with the 3/8" self-tap bolt (5/16" pilot hole); repeat on the passenger side and torque all body mount bolts to factory spec.
- Lower the shift linkage mounting point with the supplied plate (1900001 for 1997-2002 TJ, 1900003 for 2003 and newer) and refit the linkage bracket and linkage.
- Re-drill the fan shroud mounts about 1" lower so the fan clears, refit the shroud, check all wires, hoses and the filler neck for clearance, and recheck all bolts after the first 500 miles.

TeraFlex covers its coil springs and its 9550 VSS shocks for life against defects in materials and workmanship, and paint and powder coat finishes for 90 days (defects only). TeraFlex's warranty list names no separate term for the coil spring spacers in the Gladiator 2.5" kit, so contact us if you need that term before ordering.- TeraFlex extends its limited warranty only to the consumer who first bought the product, and only on the vehicle the part was first installed on. It does not pass to a later owner.
- Coverage starts on the purchase date and does not restart if a part is repaired or replaced.
- For a covered defect, TeraFlex will either repair or replace the product (or the faulty part) free of charge or refund the purchase price, at its discretion, and it pays the freight to send a repaired or replacement part back to you.
- Not covered: damage from transportation, storage, improper use, skipped instructions or preventive maintenance, modifications, unauthorized repair, normal wear and tear, product finish, improper installation or maintenance, racing or competition, or accidents, abuse and neglect. Improper installation, poor maintenance, racing or competition use, and neglect or abuse void the warranty.
- Paint and powder coat finishes carry 90 days of defect coverage only, not wear from use.
- Claims: contact us first. Keep your proof of purchase or original invoice; removing the part from the vehicle and the inbound shipping are the owner's responsibility.

Contact us right away about anything missing or damaged. Check it as soon as it arrives.- Look for crushed ends, punctures or tears in the carton.
- If something looks wrong, take photos of the box and the parts (and if a driver asks you to sign, note the damage on the receipt).
- Open the box and check the parts against the parts list before you install.
