About TeraFlex
TeraFlex describes itself as a Jeep company at heart, started and staffed by people who drive them. It designs, engineers and builds suspension systems, shocks, axles and performance parts, with the Wrangler and Gladiator at the center of the range.
The company traces its roots to the 1950s and MEPCO (Military Equipment Parts Company), an early supplier of Jeep parts. TeraFlex Manufacturing followed in 1996 to build heavy-duty suspension for the TJ Wrangler, and today's catalog runs from full lift systems and the Falcon shock line to axles, steering and armor.
Authorized TeraFlex dealer. Prestige Truck is an authorized TeraFlex dealer, so what we sell is new and genuine TeraFlex. In TeraFlex's words, its limited warranty extends "only to the consumer who originally purchased the product," so keep your receipt with your build records.

Installation
- Metric sockets
- Open end wrenches
- Factory service manual
- Torque wrench
- General mechanics tools
- E14 reverse Torx socket
Here's the short version. Follow TeraFlex's install sheet (below) for your Jeep's exact steps and torque values.
- Lift the Jeep, support it at the frame and remove the wheels; free the brake line and wheel speed sensor cable from their bracket and remove the strut-to-knuckle lower retaining bolt (E14 reverse Torx, 18mm nut), pushing the knuckle down.
- Fit the collar clamp on the strut against the factory bracket with the TeraFlex logo facing out, adding the brake line and speed sensor relocation brackets where needed (usually Trailhawk or Limited, not Latitude or Altitude); torque side 1 fully to 25 ft-lbs before side 2.
- Bend down the strut tab with locking pliers until the hole is clear, jack the knuckle up against the collar clamp and fit the supplied flange bolt and nut at 81 ft-lbs; reconnect the lines and turn the knuckle lock to lock to check they are not tight.
- Rear: support the control arm with a jack, remove the sway bar link at the control arm, the shock bolt at the knuckle and the control arm bolt, then remove the spring and isolator.
- Clean the mounting surface, fit the spring spacer and isolator and reinstall the spring with the tabs and spring end aligned; torque the control arm bolt to 59 ft-lbs plus 90 deg, then mount the shock relocation bracket and shock (90 ft-lbs and 139 ft-lbs as marked, p8).
- Refit the sway bar link at 41 ft-lbs, reinstall the wheels and lower the Jeep; a four-wheel alignment is required.

Warranty
TeraFlex's warranty list does not name a term for its coil spring and strut spacers, so contact us before ordering and we will confirm the coverage. Where a kit includes them, TeraFlex covers its bump stops and its 9550 VSS shocks for life against defects in materials and workmanship.- TeraFlex extends its limited warranty only to the consumer who first bought the product, and only on the vehicle the part was first installed on. It does not pass to a later owner.
- Coverage starts on the purchase date and does not restart if a part is repaired or replaced.
- For a covered defect, TeraFlex will either repair or replace the product (or the faulty part) free of charge or refund the purchase price, at its discretion, and it pays the freight to send a repaired or replacement part back to you.
- Not covered: damage from transportation, storage, improper use, skipped instructions or preventive maintenance, modifications, unauthorized repair, normal wear and tear, product finish, improper installation or maintenance, racing or competition, or accidents, abuse and neglect. Improper installation, poor maintenance, racing or competition use, and neglect or abuse void the warranty.
- Paint and powder coat finishes carry 90 days of defect coverage only, not wear from use.
- Claims: contact us first. Keep your proof of purchase or original invoice; removing the part from the vehicle and the inbound shipping are the owner's responsibility.
