Installation
Here's the short version. Follow TeraFlex's install sheet (below) for your Jeep's exact steps and torque values.
- Remove the spare tire.
- Free the brake light wiring from its retention clips to gain slack, then remove the bolts at the bottom of the brake light tower.
- Set the extension plate between the rear tire mount and the brake light tower, its top following the contour of the tire mount, and bolt its bottom to the tire mount with the bolts you just removed.
- Bolt the brake light tower to the top of the plate with the supplied hardware, a washer above and below each bolt (the larger washer on top).
- Clip the wiring loom back into one of the retainer clips if possible and reinstall the spare tire.

TeraFlex's warranty list names no term for 3rd brake light extension brackets, so contact us before ordering and we will confirm the coverage.- TeraFlex extends its limited warranty only to the consumer who first bought the product, and only on the vehicle the part was first installed on. It does not pass to a later owner.
- Coverage starts on the purchase date and does not restart if a part is repaired or replaced.
- For a covered defect, TeraFlex will either repair or replace the product (or the faulty part) free of charge or refund the purchase price, at its discretion, and it pays the freight to send a repaired or replacement part back to you.
- Not covered: damage from transportation, storage, improper use, skipped instructions or preventive maintenance, modifications, unauthorized repair, normal wear and tear, product finish, improper installation or maintenance, racing or competition, or accidents, abuse and neglect. Improper installation, poor maintenance, racing or competition use, and neglect or abuse void the warranty.
- Paint and powder coat finishes carry 90 days of defect coverage only, not wear from use.
