Description & Fitment
On steep climbs and descents, oil pools at one end of the engine, and the factory PCV system can let engine vacuum pull it into the intake, causing oil smoke and, at worst, hydrolock or internal damage. TeraFlex's Crankcase Vent System Kit for the 3.6L 2012-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK and JK Unlimited adds a second PCV valve at the front of the engine through an oil fill cap adapter and T-fitting, so only air enters the vent system whatever the engine's angle. It does not fit 3.8L JKs.

Is it legal in California?
TeraFlex says it can be sold in U.S. states that do not require a CARB Executive Order for add-on parts; it is not for states that do.
Will it fit my 2007-2011 JK?
No. Those JKs have the 3.8L V6, which TeraFlex lists as not compatible.
Does it fit a JL or Gladiator?
No. The JL/JT 3.6L version is a separate kit, 4839200.
What warranty does TeraFlex give?
TeraFlex's warranty list doesn't name a term for every accessory, so contact us before ordering and we'll confirm the coverage for this part. Paint and powder coat finishes are covered for 90 days against defects.

Here's the short version. Follow TeraFlex's install sheet (below) for your Jeep's exact steps and torque values.
- Wrap the fitting threads with Teflon tape and fit the 5/16" barb 90-degree fitting to the oil fill cap adapter, the 1/2" barb 90-degree fitting to the ball check valve, and the O-ring onto the adapter, angling the fittings as shown.
- Mount the ball check valve on its bracket (100 in-lbs) and assemble the two hoses, fitting the PCV valve with its arrow pointing away from the short 5/16" hose and securing the hoses with clamps (p5).
- Remove the engine cover and the intake elbow (loosen the hose clamps, remove the 10mm bolts) and remove the plug under the intake elbow.
- Cut the factory hose 5 3/4" from the right side and remove that section, mount the ball check valve on the throttle body (5 ft-lbs), and remove the oil filler neck (8mm bolts; lift the tab with a screwdriver and twist).
- Install the oil fill cap adapter in place of the filler neck, then route and connect both new vacuum hoses under the throttle body and inside the factory hose (a little oil helps the hoses slide on, p8).
- Zip tie the hoses in place, tuck them under the throttle body, and reinstall the intake elbow and engine cover.

TeraFlex's warranty list names no term for crankcase vent kits, so contact us before ordering and we will confirm the coverage.- TeraFlex extends its limited warranty only to the consumer who first bought the product, and only on the vehicle the part was first installed on. It does not pass to a later owner.
- Coverage starts on the purchase date and does not restart if a part is repaired or replaced.
- For a covered defect, TeraFlex will either repair or replace the product (or the faulty part) free of charge or refund the purchase price, at its discretion, and it pays the freight to send a repaired or replacement part back to you.
- Not covered: damage from transportation, storage, improper use, skipped instructions or preventive maintenance, modifications, unauthorized repair, normal wear and tear, product finish, improper installation or maintenance, racing or competition, or accidents, abuse and neglect. Improper installation, poor maintenance, racing or competition use, and neglect or abuse void the warranty.
- Paint and powder coat finishes carry 90 days of defect coverage only, not wear from use.
- Claims: contact us first. Keep your proof of purchase or original invoice; removing the part from the vehicle and the inbound shipping are the owner's responsibility.
