This is the skin pack version of the TeraFlex Front Sway Bar Quick Disconnect Kit for a 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ or LJ Unlimited lifted 3" to 6"; skin pack is TeraFlex's retail display packaging, and the same kit also comes boxed as 1743090. The TeraFlex parts list for the 3"-6" kit holds driver and passenger quick disconnect links, axle-side studs, upper parking studs, pins, washers, nuts, grease zerks and a pair of brake line extension brackets. Off-road, the links unhook in moments and fold up clear, so the axle can flex freely.

How is sway bar link length measured?
TeraFlex measures its sway bar link lengths center-to-center, from the middle of one mounting point to the middle of the other.
Installation

Here's the short version. Follow TeraFlex's install sheet (below) for your Jeep's exact steps and torque values.
- Turn the tires for access (the Jeep can stay on the ground), remove the upper link nuts (15mm) and strike the sway bar near the link with a hammer to free the taper (ball joint separator if needed), then remove the lower bolt (18mm and T55 Torx).
- Install the stud into the axle bracket from the inside at 60 ft-lbs, with the pin oriented for easy access.
- Identify the left and right links (bolt head points away from the frame), fit them with the washer and nut at 45 ft-lbs (9/16"), and slide the polyurethane bushing over the bullet, securing it with the washer and pin.
- Using the connected link as a guide, mark the frame for the parking stud, tap it 3/8"-16 and install the provided link pin with thread locker; repeat on the other side.
- On kits with brake line brackets, remove the factory frame bracket (T40 Torx), bolt the new bracket to the frame holes at 25 ft-lbs and secure the factory bracket to it with the supplied 1/4" bolt and nut.
- Always disconnect both links together off-road, and grease the joints every 3,000 miles or after water crossings.

TeraFlex covers its sway bars and links for life against defects in materials and workmanship. Its warranty list names no term for sway bar mounts or the universal tube disconnect plate, so contact us before ordering one of those and we will confirm that coverage.- TeraFlex extends its limited warranty only to the consumer who first bought the product, and only on the vehicle the part was first installed on. It does not pass to a later owner.
- Coverage starts on the purchase date and does not restart if a part is repaired or replaced.
- For a covered defect, TeraFlex will either repair or replace the product (or the faulty part) free of charge or refund the purchase price, at its discretion, and it pays the freight to send a repaired or replacement part back to you.
- Not covered: damage from transportation, storage, improper use, skipped instructions or preventive maintenance, modifications, unauthorized repair, normal wear and tear, product finish, improper installation or maintenance, racing or competition, or accidents, abuse and neglect. Improper installation, poor maintenance, racing or competition use, and neglect or abuse void the warranty.
- Paint and powder coat finishes carry 90 days of defect coverage only, not wear from use.
- Claims: contact us first. Keep your proof of purchase or original invoice; removing the part from the vehicle and the inbound shipping are the owner's responsibility.
