Description & Fitment
The TeraFlex HD Adjustable Track Bar, Front, is a heavy-duty adjustable replacement for the front track bar on 3"-4" lifted Jeeps across four platforms: the 1997-2006 Wrangler TJ and LJ Unlimited, the 1984-2001 Cherokee XJ, the 1993-1998 Grand Cherokee ZJ and the 1986-1992 Comanche MJ. It stands up to the side loads the front axle sees in turns and off-road, which TeraFlex says sharpens steering response, and its adjustable length re-centers the axle after a lift. It bolts into the factory locations (or a relocation bracket) with no cutting or welding.

Installation
Here's the short version. Follow TeraFlex's install sheet (below) for your Jeep's exact steps and torque values.
- Park on level ground with the parking brake set (the job can be done with the vehicle on the ground); this bar needs at least 3" of lift, and from stock it is lengthened about 9/16" for a 3" lift or 3/4" for a 4" lift (p1).
- Unbolt the shocks from the axle (13mm) and free the ABS lines at the frame if equipped.
- Loosen the frame-side nut with a 3/4" wrench without removing it, strike the bracket with a hammer to release the taper, and unbolt the axle end (T50 Torx or 17mm, captured nut) to remove the factory bar.
- Fit the new bar's ball stud in the frame bracket, torque the nut to 60 ft-lbs and fit the new cotter pin, always tightening (never loosening) to line up the pin hole.
- Bolt the axle end in with the supplied hardware (17mm) and torque it to 40 ft-lbs.
- Loosen the adjuster sleeve nuts (15mm), turn the sleeve until the axle is centered under the vehicle, and torque the nuts to 36 ft-lbs.

TeraFlex covers its track bars for life against defects in materials and workmanship, and paint and powder coat finishes for 90 days (defects only).- TeraFlex extends its limited warranty only to the consumer who first bought the product, and only on the vehicle the part was first installed on. It does not pass to a later owner.
- Coverage starts on the purchase date and does not restart if a part is repaired or replaced.
- For a covered defect, TeraFlex will either repair or replace the product (or the faulty part) free of charge or refund the purchase price, at its discretion, and it pays the freight to send a repaired or replacement part back to you.
- Not covered: damage from transportation, storage, improper use, skipped instructions or preventive maintenance, modifications, unauthorized repair, normal wear and tear, product finish, improper installation or maintenance, racing or competition, or accidents, abuse and neglect. Improper installation, poor maintenance, racing or competition use, and neglect or abuse void the warranty.
- Paint and powder coat finishes carry 90 days of defect coverage only, not wear from use.
- Claims: contact us first. Keep your proof of purchase or original invoice; removing the part from the vehicle and the inbound shipping are the owner's responsibility.
