Description & Fitment
The TeraFlex HD Tie Rod Clamp with hydraulic ram assist mount is made for TeraFlex's 42mm (1-5/8") HD tie rod on a 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK or JK Unlimited. It is CNC laser cut from 1/4" steel plate and powder coated, and a 5/8"-18 threaded bung lets you attach a hydraulic ram assist cylinder to the tie rod without welding. The clamp also makes it easy to adjust toe, differential clearance and lock-to-lock steering position.

Here's the short version. Follow TeraFlex's install sheet (below) for your Jeep's exact steps and torque values.
- Make sure the axle side of the hydraulic assist ram is already mounted before fitting the clamp.
- With the tires straight, collapse the ram to its centered position (use a tape measure) and mark the tie rod where the center of the heim lines up.
- Apply blue thread locker to the 1/4" socket head cap screws and fit the clamp with its threaded bung centered on the mark, noting the clamp orientation.
- Bolt the free end of the ram to the clamp with the 5/8"-18 bolt and washer supplied by PSC (15/16"), using red thread locker, torque 130 ft-lbs.
- Have a helper turn the steering wheel lock to lock: everything must clear and the ram shaft must not bottom out or over-extend before the steering stops make contact.
- Final-tighten the six clamp bolts in a circular pattern to 75 in-lbs with a 3/16" Allen wrench.

TeraFlex covers ball joints, tie rods, tie rod ends and drag links for life against defects in materials and workmanship, and paint and powder coat finishes for 90 days (defects only).- TeraFlex extends its limited warranty only to the consumer who first bought the product, and only on the vehicle the part was first installed on. It does not pass to a later owner.
- Coverage starts on the purchase date and does not restart if a part is repaired or replaced.
- For a covered defect, TeraFlex will either repair or replace the product (or the faulty part) free of charge or refund the purchase price, at its discretion, and it pays the freight to send a repaired or replacement part back to you.
- Not covered: damage from transportation, storage, improper use, skipped instructions or preventive maintenance, modifications, unauthorized repair, normal wear and tear, product finish, improper installation or maintenance, racing or competition, or accidents, abuse and neglect. Improper installation, poor maintenance, racing or competition use, and neglect or abuse void the warranty.
- Paint and powder coat finishes carry 90 days of defect coverage only, not wear from use.
- Claims: contact us first. Keep your proof of purchase or original invoice; removing the part from the vehicle and the inbound shipping are the owner's responsibility.
