Description & Fitment
Once the rear license plate moves off the tailgate of a 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK or JK Unlimited, this TeraFlex logo badge covers the exposed hole it leaves behind. It is die-cast from zinc alloy for crisp, raised TeraFlex lettering and finished in black chrome for a dark, polished look. The badge attaches with permanent double-sided adhesive tape, so no drilling is needed. TeraFlex rates the job at about half an hour.

Installation
Here's the short version. Follow TeraFlex's install sheet (below) for your Jeep's exact steps and torque values.
- Park on level ground with the parking brake set, remove the two license plate bolts (flat screwdriver or 3/8" socket) and take off the plate.
- Press the tabs to disconnect the harness, then remove the four screws holding the license plate bracket to the body with a 7mm nut driver (raise the body slightly with a jack under the rear left body mount if the lower two are hard to reach).
- Unclip the wiring harness from inside the bracket, tuck it back into the body and clean the recessed area thoroughly with soapy water.
- Peel the plastic backing off the adhesive and the protective film off the badge face.
- Center the badge in the recess and press it in, working all along the edges so it fully bonds; relocate the license plate (TeraFlex suggests #4838162).

TeraFlex's warranty list names no term for the license plate delete badge, so contact us before ordering and we will confirm the coverage.- TeraFlex extends its limited warranty only to the consumer who first bought the product, and only on the vehicle the part was first installed on. It does not pass to a later owner.
- Coverage starts on the purchase date and does not restart if a part is repaired or replaced.
- For a covered defect, TeraFlex will either repair or replace the product (or the faulty part) free of charge or refund the purchase price, at its discretion, and it pays the freight to send a repaired or replacement part back to you.
- Not covered: damage from transportation, storage, improper use, skipped instructions or preventive maintenance, modifications, unauthorized repair, normal wear and tear, product finish, improper installation or maintenance, racing or competition, or accidents, abuse and neglect. Improper installation, poor maintenance, racing or competition use, and neglect or abuse void the warranty.
- Paint and powder coat finishes carry 90 days of defect coverage only, not wear from use.
- Claims: contact us first. Keep your proof of purchase or original invoice; removing the part from the vehicle and the inbound shipping are the owner's responsibility.
