Description & Fitment

TeraFlex SpeedBump Bump Stop Strike Pad Kits let you fine-tune the final bump stop length on a 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK running TeraFlex SpeedBump bump stops. Choose a 1.25" front lower pad (1467125), a 2.5" front lower pad (1467250) or a 0.75" rear lower pad (1954600). Setting the right stop height keeps the suspension, shocks and fenders from taking hits at full compression, and each kit bolts on.

About TeraFlex

TERAFLEX.

TeraFlex describes itself as a Jeep company at heart, started and staffed by people who drive them. It designs, engineers and builds suspension systems, shocks, axles and performance parts, with the Wrangler and Gladiator at the center of the range.

The company traces its roots to the 1950s and MEPCO (Military Equipment Parts Company), an early supplier of Jeep parts. TeraFlex Manufacturing followed in 1996 to build heavy-duty suspension for the TJ Wrangler, and today's catalog runs from full lift systems and the Falcon shock line to axles, steering and armor.

Authorized TeraFlex dealer. Prestige Truck is an authorized TeraFlex dealer, so what we sell is new and genuine TeraFlex. In TeraFlex's words, its limited warranty extends "only to the consumer who originally purchased the product," so keep your receipt with your build records.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need SpeedBump bump stops?

TeraFlex designed these pads to work with its SpeedBump bump stop system to fine-tune the final stop length.

Which height should I pick?

It depends on your lift, tires and shocks. Measure your compressed clearance, or contact us with your build and we'll check it with you.

Is there a rear upper pad?

Yes. The rear upper strike pad kit is 1992000, and a 2.75" rear lower pad kit is 1954700.

What warranty does TeraFlex give?

TeraFlex covers its bump stops for life against defects in materials and workmanship. Contact us to confirm coverage on your part or to start a claim.

How quickly does it ship?

Shipping is free to the lower 48 states, and most orders arrive within 1-5 business days. We email your tracking number as soon as it ships.

Can you confirm it's the right part before I order?

Yes. Contact us with your VIN or year, model and trim, lift height and tire size, and we'll check it against TeraFlex's fitment information before it ships.

Installation

Install time 1 hour
What's involvedRemove the front springs, twist out the factory bump stops to seat the upper extensions, and drill each spring pad (5/16" or 3/8") to bolt on the lower pads, then refit the springs, shocks, sway bar links and track bar.
ToolsBasic mechanics tool set

Here's the short version. Follow TeraFlex's install sheet (below) for your Jeep's exact steps and torque values.

  1. Raise and support the JK at the factory service manual lift points, remove the wheels and support the axle; disconnect the sway bar links (18mm), shocks (18mm), ABS lines at the frame if equipped, and the front track bar at the axle (21mm).
  2. Lower the axle and remove the front springs.
  3. Upper extension: work the factory bump stop out of the jounce tube with a back-and-forth twist, line up the bump stop, extension and jounce tube, and raise the axle on a hydraulic jack until they seat (a grease coating helps).
  4. Lower pads: drill the center of each spring pad, 5/16" for the standard pad or 3/8" for SpeedBump pads; for the standard pad, cut the threads with the self-tapping bolt using the bump stop as a guide, then remove it (p4).
  5. Refit the springs together with the pad and fit the mounting bolt (SpeedBump pads: bolt through the bump stop with the nut under the spring pad).
  6. Refit the shocks (lower bolt 56 ft-lbs) and sway bar links (75 ft-lbs), refit the wheels, lower the Jeep to the ground and reinstall the front track bar.
