Description & Fitment

TeraFlex Stainless Steel Braided Brake Line Kits replace stock hoses with longer lines sized for TeraFlex lift kits. Choose the 30" rear pair for a 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK or JK Unlimited, or the 26" front pair, which TeraFlex lists for the JK and for the 1997-2006 Wrangler TJ and LJ Unlimited. Each kit has two braided lines with 90 degree fittings, two L-bracket frame mounts, two retaining clips and four copper banjo bolt washers. TeraFlex says the lines are DOT approved and resist expansion to keep a firm pedal.

About TeraFlex

TERAFLEX.

TeraFlex describes itself as a Jeep company at heart, started and staffed by people who drive them. It designs, engineers and builds suspension systems, shocks, axles and performance parts, with the Wrangler and Gladiator at the center of the range.

The company traces its roots to the 1950s and MEPCO (Military Equipment Parts Company), an early supplier of Jeep parts. TeraFlex Manufacturing followed in 1996 to build heavy-duty suspension for the TJ Wrangler, and today's catalog runs from full lift systems and the Falcon shock line to axles, steering and armor.

Authorized TeraFlex dealer. Prestige Truck is an authorized TeraFlex dealer, so what we sell is new and genuine TeraFlex. In TeraFlex's words, its limited warranty extends "only to the consumer who originally purchased the product," so keep your receipt with your build records.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the 30" rear kit fit my TJ?

No. TeraFlex lists the 30" rear kit (4350310) for the JK only. For a TJ or LJ the 26" front kit (4353310) fits; for TJ rear lines see TeraFlex's 26" TJ kits.

How many lines are in a kit?

A pair: two lines for one axle, with two frame mounts, two clips and four copper washers.

Will I need to bleed the brakes?

Yes. Swapping brake lines opens the hydraulic system, so the brakes must be bled before driving.

How quickly does it ship?

Shipping is free to the lower 48 states, and most orders arrive within 1-5 business days. We email your tracking number as soon as it ships.

Can you confirm it's the right part before I order?

Yes. Send us your VIN or year, model and trim, plus your lift height, wheel size and axle, and we'll check it against TeraFlex's fitment information before it ships.

Should I install brake parts myself?

TeraFlex asks you to read its instructions fully before you start and recommends installation by a certified mechanic. Brakes are safety parts, so whoever does the work should test the pedal and the brakes at low speed before normal driving.

Installation

Install time 1 hour
What's involvedDisconnect the factory brake line at the caliper, hard line and frame, then bolt on the new L bracket and fit the braided line with new copper washers on the banjo bolt. Check the line clears the tire as the suspension cycles and fit the retainer clip.
ToolsBasic mechanics tool set

Here's the short version. Follow TeraFlex's install sheet (below) for your Jeep's exact steps and torque values.

  1. Raise and support the Jeep at the factory lift points, remove the rear wheels and support the axle with a jack or jack stands.
  2. Remove the banjo bolt from the caliper (9/16") with a pan to catch the fluid, disconnect the brake line from the hard line (12mm) and unbolt it from the frame (10mm).
  3. Mount the new L bracket to the frame with the original bolt, feed the new line through it and hand tighten the hard line into the new line.
  4. Fit the banjo bolt through the line end with a new copper washer each side of the fitting, orient the line as shown and torque the banjo bolt to 23 ft-lbs (p5).
  5. Check the line cannot rub the tire or other parts as the suspension cycles, torque the hard line connection to 14 ft-lbs and install the retainer clip.
  6. Bleed the brakes by standard procedure, starting at the rear right and working right to left, back to front.
