Description & Fitment
Lifting a 1997-2002 Jeep Wrangler TJ (short wheelbase) 2" or more steepens the driveshaft angle and can cause vibration. This TeraFlex Transfer Case Lowering Spacer Kit drops the transfer case to ease that angle, and TeraFlex says it helps most on TJs without a slip yoke eliminator kit or adjustable control arms. Choose the 0.5" drop (1900000) or the 1" drop (1900100). Shift linkage adjustment may be needed after install.

Does it fit a 2003-2006 TJ?
No. The 2003-2006 TJ and LJ use a separate 1" kit, 1900103.
Will I need to adjust anything else?

Installation
Here's the short version. Follow TeraFlex's install sheet (below) for your Jeep's exact steps and torque values.
- Sort the hardware for your year: 1997-2002 uses the 1/2" bolts, 2003-2006 the M12 bolts.
- Safely raise and support the Jeep and put a jack under the center of the skid plate with enough pressure to hold it.
- Remove the six skid plate frame bolts (T55 or 19mm) and lower the belly pan just enough to fit the spacers.
- Fit all six spacers with the taper against the pan, then install the bolts with washers and lock washers and torque them to 55 ft-lbs (3/4" or 19mm).
- Remove the jack and re-torque each bolt at least twice as the pan settles; inspect the shift linkage and adjust it if the lower transfer case has changed its angles.

TeraFlex's warranty list does not name a term for its coil spring and strut spacers, so contact us before ordering and we will confirm the coverage. Where a kit includes them, TeraFlex covers its bump stops and its 9550 VSS shocks for life against defects in materials and workmanship.- TeraFlex extends its limited warranty only to the consumer who first bought the product, and only on the vehicle the part was first installed on. It does not pass to a later owner.
- Coverage starts on the purchase date and does not restart if a part is repaired or replaced.
- For a covered defect, TeraFlex will either repair or replace the product (or the faulty part) free of charge or refund the purchase price, at its discretion, and it pays the freight to send a repaired or replacement part back to you.
- Not covered: damage from transportation, storage, improper use, skipped instructions or preventive maintenance, modifications, unauthorized repair, normal wear and tear, product finish, improper installation or maintenance, racing or competition, or accidents, abuse and neglect. Improper installation, poor maintenance, racing or competition use, and neglect or abuse void the warranty.
- Paint and powder coat finishes carry 90 days of defect coverage only, not wear from use.
- Claims: contact us first. Keep your proof of purchase or original invoice; removing the part from the vehicle and the inbound shipping are the owner's responsibility.
