Description & Fitment
This universal TeraFlex bracket bolts to the leg of a Hi-Lift jack and carries RotopaX fuel containers: one 2-gallon pack or two 1-gallon packs. On a JK with the TeraFlex Alpha Hi-Lift Jack Mount it can also mount to that bracket. The proprietary RotopaX pack mount is not included. TeraFlex lists about half an hour to fit it.

Does it fit my vehicle?
It is a universal bracket: it bolts to the Hi-Lift jack leg rather than to the vehicle, and can also mount to the TeraFlex Alpha Hi-Lift Jack Mount Kit (4838250).
How many RotopaX containers does it hold?
TeraFlex says one 2-gallon container or two 1-gallon containers.
Is everything needed included?
No. It requires the proprietary RotopaX pack mount, which is not included, and the containers are not included.

Installation

Here's the short version. Follow TeraFlex's install sheet (below) for your Jeep's exact steps and torque values.
- Remove the spare tire and anything in the carrier's three 1/2" holes (and any TeraFlex badge); with a 12mm socket remove the upper right M8 carrier bolt and loosen the one to its left so the nut plate inside the tailgate can float.
- Set the mount in place and start the M8 bolt and washer in its upper left hole with the aluminum spacer between mount and carrier, leaving it loose.
- Fit the 1/2" Allen bolts in the remaining holes with anti-seize (if the top one won't line up, loosen the upper left M8 bolt and shift the mount), then torque the M8 bolt to 15 ft-lbs and the Allen bolts to 55 ft-lbs.
- Pass the two 1/2" x 3" bolts with washers through the outermost holes, add a washer and threaded spacer on each, finger-tighten the top bolt and torque the bottom one.
- With the Hi-Lift jack fully collapsed, push it onto the bolts, slide the top bolt in its slot to line up, start the washers and nuts loosely, torque the top bolt to the spacer at 65 ft-lbs, then tighten both nuts and check the jack base clears the body with the tailgate fully open.
- RotopaX mount: fit it with two 1/2" x 1.75" carriage bolts through its square holes and the jack (or two 1/2" x 1.25" carriage bolts straight into the Hi-Lift mount's top outer holes), a washer and nut on each tightened to 55 ft-lbs; re-torque all hardware after the first 400-500 miles.

TeraFlex's warranty list names no term for the RotopaX Hi-Lift jack mount, so contact us before ordering and we will confirm the coverage.- TeraFlex extends its limited warranty only to the consumer who first bought the product, and only on the vehicle the part was first installed on. It does not pass to a later owner.
- Coverage starts on the purchase date and does not restart if a part is repaired or replaced.
- For a covered defect, TeraFlex will either repair or replace the product (or the faulty part) free of charge or refund the purchase price, at its discretion, and it pays the freight to send a repaired or replacement part back to you.
- Not covered: damage from transportation, storage, improper use, skipped instructions or preventive maintenance, modifications, unauthorized repair, normal wear and tear, product finish, improper installation or maintenance, racing or competition, or accidents, abuse and neglect. Improper installation, poor maintenance, racing or competition use, and neglect or abuse void the warranty.
- Paint and powder coat finishes carry 90 days of defect coverage only, not wear from use.
- Claims: contact us first. Keep your proof of purchase or original invoice; removing the part from the vehicle and the inbound shipping are the owner's responsibility.

- If something looks wrong, take photos of the box and the parts (and if a driver asks you to sign, note the damage on the receipt).
