Fold-up front access
Full bed access
Low-profile look
Features
- Fold-Up Front Access: Release a hidden latch on either side of the bed, just behind the cab, and the front 30" folds back, so you can grab gear from behind the cab without dropping the tailgate. Fold it forward again and the front latches catch on their own. Just never drive with that front section open.
- Full Bed Access: Drop the tailgate, release the driver-side trigger latch and roll the cover toward the cab; the load bars roll up inside the vinyl. Secure it with the included straps and the whole bed is open for tall cargo.
- Low-Profile Look: Closed, the Deuce sits just 3/4" above the bed rails, so from the side it nearly disappears. TruXedo counts it among the lowest-profile soft roll-up covers made.
- Tension Control in the Hinges: Spring-loaded tension controls built into the hinges adjust the pull on the vinyl, and floating hook-and-loop sides help keep it taut as the seasons change. If it ever needs a tweak, the manual says to adjust it in small steps during the warmest part of the day.
- Sealed at All Four Corners: EPDM rubber seals close off all four corners, and two foam block seals press against the front bulkhead, to help keep rain and dust out of the bed. Like any soft cover, it is weather-resistant, not airtight.
- Vinyl Over a Powder-Coated Frame: The top is industrial-grade, tear-resistant vinyl with a leather-grain finish, stretched over a rigid but lightweight aluminum frame. TruXedo powder coats the aluminum in gloss black to resist corrosion.
Description & Fitment
The TruXedo Deuce is a soft folding tonneau cover for the 2022-2027 Nissan Frontier with the 6'1" bed. It opens from both ends: roll it up from the tailgate, or flip the front 30" back using the hidden latch on either side. Tension controls in the hinges keep the vinyl taut through the seasons, and EPDM seals guard all four corners. It clamps on with no drilling, sits just 3/4" above the bed rails and carries TruXedo's limited lifetime warranty.
Fitment & Compatibility
| Years | Model | Bed | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2022-2023 | Frontier | 6'1" | without Factory Sport Bars |
| 2024-2027 | Frontier | 6'1" | — |
Check your bed: Measure along the bed rail from the bulkhead to the inside of the closed tailgate. TruXedo lists this bed as 6'1"; we don't have a published inch figure for it, so measure your bed and contact us if you are unsure. Nissan sells this box as its 6-foot bed. On 2022-2023 trucks, it does not fit with the factory sport bars.
Not for: the 5' box (792501). The 2005-2021 Nissan Frontier and 2009-2012 Suzuki Equator take 784101.
About TruXedo
TruXedo makes soft and hard roll-up tonneau covers.
The Deuce is TruXedo's hybrid: a soft roll-up with a front section that folds up at the cab, so it opens from either end of the bed. It carries TruXedo's limited lifetime warranty.
Authorized TruXedo dealer. TruXedo states that a cover bought from an authorized dealer is eligible for the full manufacturer's warranty, and warns that covers bought through eBay or other unauthorized sellers may not be covered. Prestige Truck is an authorized TruXedo dealer, so your Deuce arrives new, genuine and with TruXedo's full limited lifetime warranty.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit my 2022-2027 Nissan Frontier?
Yes, if it has the 6'1" box. Measure along the bed rail from the bulkhead to the inside of the closed tailgate. A 5' box takes 792501 (about 59.5").
Why is the bed listed as 6'1" when Nissan calls it the 6-foot bed?
Truck makers use rounded names, while TruXedo labels each version by its own length. Measure your bed along the rail and compare inches, not names. Send us your VIN if you'd like us to check.
How do I open just the front of the bed?
Pull the hidden latch on either side of the bed, just behind the cab, and fold the front 30" of the cover back. To close, fold it forward and the latches catch on their own; then lift up on the front edge to make sure it is latched. TruXedo's manual says never to drive with the hinged front open.
Can I drive with the cover rolled open?
Yes. Roll it all the way to the cab and fasten the included retainer straps first. Don't drive with it unlatched at the rear or only partly rolled, and don't stow it against the cab or the back window.
Will it keep my cargo dry, and can it go through a car wash?
It keeps most weather out, with EPDM rubber seals at all four corners and vinyl held taut by the hinge tension controls, but TruXedo's manual says the cover is not airtight, so keep anything that must stay dry in a sealed container. The manual allows hand washing with mild soap and water or a car wash; rinse off all the soap, and never use vinyl conditioners containing silicone, petroleum or citrus, which can crack and shrink the vinyl.
Does it lock, and can I carry things on top?
There is a security lock on the driver side, and the hidden front latches can be locked out. Keep expectations realistic: TruXedo's manual says a fabric cover won't prevent theft from the bed, and it asks you not to place objects on or against the cover or tie cargo to its frame. TruXedo publishes no load rating for the Deuce.
Installation
- 3/8" ratchet with 1/2"
- 9/16" sockets
- Tape measure
- Pencil
- Small spring clamps optional
Here's the short version. Follow TruXedo's Deuce manual (below) for the exact rail positions and the latch linkage.
- Fit the corner block seals. Peel the backing off the two foam block seals and stick one in each front corner of the bed at the bulkhead.
- Clamp on the underbody rails. Using the sheet's 30 1/4" mark from the front bulkhead as your guide, clamp the driver and passenger underbody rails to the bed rails. Press down so the block seal compresses as you clamp, and set each clamp as high as it will go so it grips firmly.
- Set the side rail assemblies. Place each rail assembly behind its underbody rail so the two meet flush end to end, about 3/8" from the tailgate, and clamp it level while pressing down to compress the side seal. If the rear seal isn't slightly squeezed, slide the assembly back a little. Tighten every clamp securely before you drive.
- Hook on the cover. With the tailgate down and both release levers pointing toward the tailgate, drop the front header into the driver and passenger header stops together, rotate it up and lock both sides.
- Fold it forward and connect the linkage. From inside the bed, swing the cover assembly over to the cab with both hands (it's heavy) and seat the striker pins in the latch brackets. Turn both release levers to the left, peel off the anti-spin tape and connect the short tie-bars on each side.
- Close, tension and check. Unroll to the tailgate, rotate the rear header into its stops and press down until the toggle locks. Adjust tension in small steps during the warmest part of the day, press the hook-and-loop strips down along both rails, then lift on the cover's front edge to confirm the striker pins are back at 90 degrees and latched.

Warranty
TruXedo backs the Deuce with a limited lifetime warranty against defects in material and workmanship, for the life of the product.- It applies when the cover is properly installed and used for its intended purpose; TruXedo's manual says a cover that isn't assembled properly loses its warranty.
- TruXedo repairs, or at its option replaces, any part it judges defective. It does not pay for labor or for other damage.
- Covers the original buyer only and can't be transferred. Registration on file or a detailed, dated receipt is required; contact us for help registering your cover.
- Care from the manual: hand wash with mild soap and water or use a car wash, and rinse off every trace of soap; a vinyl protectant made for truck covers is fine, but never use conditioners containing silicone, petroleum or citrus. Don't set objects on the cover or tie cargo to its frame, never drive with the front section open or the cover partly rolled, and roll it fully open and strap it before the truck is towed backward.
- For a claim, contact us first; a Returned Material Authorization (RMA) number is needed before anything is sent, and parts go back to TruXedo with shipping prepaid by you.
- Not covered: used products, or products that were repaired, altered, modified, misused, neglected, damaged in an accident or simply worn out. TruXedo may refuse a claim if non-genuine parts were used.
