Clamp-on install
Features
- Rolls Up to the Cab: Roll the cover forward until it sits at the cab, hook both retainer straps, and the whole bed is open for tall loads. TruXedo's rule is simple: drive with it fully latched or fully rolled and strapped, never part way.
- Latches at the Tailgate: Unroll it to the tailgate and the rear header drops into the header stops and clicks shut. To open, one finger on the trigger latch on the driver side rail releases it, which TruXedo pitches as one-finger operation.
- Clamp-On Install, No Drilling: On most trucks the rails clamp to the inside of the bed rails with no drilling; TruXedo calls it a Level 1 job that takes under an hour, often about 30 minutes. A few versions use brackets or deck rail hardware, and the CarbonPro bed version drills the bed caps, so check your truck's page.
- Five-Layer RTxTechWeave Top: The top is RTxTechWeave, a textured, 120-grade woven composite built in five layers instead of a vinyl sheet. TruXedo says it stretches tighter than other cover materials and calls it the quietest, most refined soft roll-up on the market.
- Low 15-Degree Side Rails: The X15 rails are angled at 15 degrees, so the closed cover finishes nearly flush with the bed rails. TruXedo rates that profile 33% lower than TruXedo's own Lo Pro, with less wind drag and noise.
- Tension That Holds, Edges That Stay Down: DriveTight automatic tension control in the front header is set at the factory and takes up slack as the fabric moves with the temperature. RTxGrip multi-tiered hook-and-loop then holds both side edges down, and aluminum cross-frames underneath help stop sagging under rain or snow.
Description & Fitment
The TruXedo Pro X15 is a soft roll-up tonneau cover for the 2024-2026 Chevrolet Silverado EV with the 5'11" bed, without the Midgate. Its five-layer, 120-grade RTxTechWeave top replaces vinyl, and TruXedo calls the cover flap-free. DriveTight tension control is preset at the factory to keep the edges down, and low 15-degree side rails keep the profile low. It latches at the tailgate, rolls up to the cab, clamps on with no drilling and carries TruXedo's limited lifetime warranty.

Not for: Other bed lengths and model years; each has its own Pro X15 part.
About TruXedo
TruXedo makes roll-up tonneau covers.
Within TruXedo's soft roll-ups, the Pro X15 is the quiet, low one: RTxTechWeave canvas in place of vinyl and rails angled to sit about a third lower than the Lo Pro. If you want rack-ready rails, the Pro X15 TS adds T-slots to the same design.
Authorized TruXedo dealer. TruXedo states that a cover bought from an authorized dealer is eligible for the full manufacturer's warranty, and it warns that covers bought on eBay or from other unauthorized sellers may not be covered. Prestige Truck is an authorized dealer, so your Pro X15 arrives new, genuine and with TruXedo's limited lifetime warranty.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will this Pro X15 fit my Silverado EV?
Yes, if it is a 2024-2026 Chevrolet Silverado EV with the 5'11" bed, without the Midgate. Measure along the bed rail from the bulkhead to the inside of the closed tailgate.
Does it need drilling?
No. TruXedo lists it as a clamp-on install with no drilling, rated Level 1 at under an hour, and the rails grip the inside of the bed rails.
Will it keep rain and snow out of the bed?
It is built to keep most weather out, but TruXedo states plainly that the cover is not airtight. The kit's corner seals, end plug seals and (on select trucks) bulkhead seal do the sealing, so clean each spot with soap, water and isopropyl alcohol before you stick them down. TruXedo notes that water reaching the tailgate corners usually runs out the bottom of the tailgate, away from the truck. Keep anything that must stay dry in a closed container.
Water sits on top after it rains. Is that normal?
Yes. TruXedo explains that the cross bows are flat rather than arched, so some water can pool on the closed cover, and it sheds once you drive. Re-press the hook-and-loop along both sides afterward.
Why does the fabric flutter or lift at speed?
Usually the hook-and-loop isn't fully set. After every close, pull the fabric flap over the hook track and press it in with your palms along both rails. If it still flutters, check the tension at the front header spring plungers, adjusting in small steps during the warmest part of the day, as TruXedo's sheet describes.
What if the cover won't latch?
TruXedo's troubleshooting list starts with the rails: they should sit level with the bed caps, not tilted or too low, and you can move the clamps to adjust the tilt. Also make sure the header seal isn't caught between a rail and the header, and that the tension is set correctly.
Installation
- Flat-head screwdriver
- 1/2" wrench or socket
- Torque wrench for the 8 ft-lb setting
- Isopropyl alcohol (spring clamps and scissors or a utility knife recommended)
Here's the short version. Follow TruXedo's Pro X15 install sheet (below) for the drawings.
- Clean and seal the corners. Make sure every spot where the cover mounts is clean and free of debris. Wash the front of the bulkhead with soap and water, wipe it with isopropyl alcohol, let it dry, then press the front corner seals into the corners so they stand 1/8" above the bed caps.
- Seal the rail ends and set the rails. Stick the end plug seals on the front of both side rails. Set the driver side rail (it carries the trigger latch) inside the bed rail with its flange resting on the bed cap and its front edge 3/8" back from the bulkhead, then the passenger rail.
- Fit the bulkhead seal if you have bed caps. On trucks with factory bed caps, clean the top of the bulkhead the same way, lay the bulkhead seal flush with its front edge and snug between the bed rails, press it down and trim the excess.
- Clamp and level. Fit three clamps per rail, working out from the middle and leaving about 8" at each end. Finger-tighten so the clamp teeth sit in the rail grooves, set each rail level with the bed caps (move a clamp to change the tilt; spring clamps help hold the rail), then tighten with a 1/2" socket to 8 ft-lb (11 Nm).
- Seal the tailgate end and attach the cover. Add the end plug seals to the rear of both rails to close the tailgate corner gaps. Set the rolled cover on the rails at the cab end with the front header seal on top of the bulkhead and slide the header guides into the locked position until they click.
- Unroll, latch and check. Roll the cover to the tailgate, set the rear header in the header stops and rotate it down until it clicks, then press the hook-and-loop strips in along both sides. Re-check the clamps for tightness after your first week of driving and now and then after that; TruXedo makes this a warranty condition.

Warranty
TruXedo gives the Pro X15 a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials or workmanship.- Hard parts (rails, clamps and bows) and the fabric each carry limited lifetime coverage.
- It covers the first buyer only and does not transfer. Registration or the detailed, dated receipt must be on file, so keep the receipt; contact us for help registering your cover.
- To keep it valid: wash with mild car soap and water only, with no silicone or petroleum conditioners; drive only fully latched or fully rolled up with both retainer straps on, never part open; keep cargo from touching the fabric; re-check the rail clamps after the first week of driving and now and then after that; never roll it into the rear window or stow it against the cab; if it stays open for a long time, re-roll it now and then and re-fasten the straps; clear snow and ice before opening; and remove it before the truck is towed from the rear.
- A defective cover, tarp or hardware part is repaired or replaced at TruXedo's option, and TruXedo may substitute a newer model of similar form and function.
- Claims start with a Return Material Authorization number from TruXedo; contact us and we'll start the claim. TruXedo may ask for the part back postage prepaid, and shipping charges apply to repairs and replacements.
- Not covered: damage from an accident, neglect, unforeseeable use, improper installation or servicing, or any cause other than a defect.
