The TruXedo Sentry CT is a hard roll-up cover, which means it gives you the security of an aluminum deck and still rolls out of the way instead of folding into stacked panels or swallowing bed length in a canister. Interlocking aluminum slats run under a five-layer RTxTechWeave canvas skin, so the top surface resists nicks and cuts while the structure underneath carries up to 400 lb of evenly distributed load. Pull the rear release cables, roll it forward to the cab, clip the two integrated straps and the box is completely open with the rear window still clear. It suits the owner who wants the bed locked most of the time but refuses to give up the full length of it. A Canvas Surface That Stays Looking New
The RTxTechWeave skin is a patented five-layer, 120-grade tight weave rather than a vinyl sheet. TruXedo built it to shrug off the scuffs and light cuts that make an older cover look tired, and it holds a cleaner appearance through a working life than the vinyl-topped Sentry does.

400 lb On Top, Evenly Distributed
Interlocking aluminum slats do the structural work, so the cover is rated to carry 400 lb spread across it. That is a real number from TruXedo, and the phrase evenly distributed is the operative part. Spread a load across several slats rather than resting one heavy item on a single point.

It Locks, It Does Not Just Latch
The cover secures itself as it closes: as many as six latches catch on their own, backed by a tension cable and TruXedo's patented level-2 locking system. TruXedo's soft covers latch shut but do not lock. If leaving tools in the bed overnight is the reason you are shopping, this is the difference you are paying for.

Slash-Resistant Without Losing Bed Space
A retractable cover buys you a hard deck and then takes a chunk of the bed back for its canister. The Sentry CT rolls to the cab and sits there, so the slats give you cut resistance and you keep the whole box.

Full Access With The Rear Window Clear
Rolled forward and strapped, the cover sits low enough to leave your rear visibility intact, and you can legally and safely drive that way. That is what lets you carry something taller than the bed rails without taking the cover off and finding somewhere to store it.

One Piece, No Seams Across It
The RTxTechWeave surface is a single aluminum-reinforced piece and the side rails fit flush to the bed with their own seals. TruXedo's own claim is that this is the most leak-resistant arrangement across its folding, roll-up and retractable ranges.

Every Sentry CT ships with rails already cut for the truck it was ordered for, and they are self-leveling, so there is no shimming and no drilling. The rails clamp to the inner lip of the bed rail, the cover drops into them and the rear section locates against the tailgate. Nothing is cut and nothing is permanent, so the cover comes off again if you sell the truck. TruXedo specifies 8 ft-lb (11 Nm) on the clamps, so a torque wrench is worth using rather than guessing. Check that torque again after your first week of driving and then occasionally after that, which TruXedo asks for as a warranty condition rather than a suggestion.

Warranty, Shipping & Returns

TruXedo covers the Sentry CT for five years on the hard parts and five years on the fabric, to the original purchaser, against defects in materials and workmanship. Proof of purchase may be required and the cover is warranted only when it was bought from an authorized dealer. A few care conditions void it, and they are worth reading before you buy: wash it only with water and a mild car-wash soap, never with a silicone- or petroleum-based conditioner; do not drive with the cover partly open and unstrapped; do not tie cargo to the frame; and remove the cover before towing the truck from the rear.

Open the carton and check the rails and the cover before you sign. Note any damage on the delivery receipt at the time, because that record is what lets us replace a damaged cover quickly.
