- Plow Mode with travel limits: Plow Mode lets you program an upper and a lower stop for your plow blade, so the winch will not lift or drop it past either point. Auto Move then sends the blade to a stop with one touch. It runs through the HUB Wireless Receiver and a smartphone; the HUB is in the box with the 45, 45RC and 55 models and bought separately for the 35 and 35-S.
- Motactor: motor plus contactor: Warn builds the motor and the contactor into one sealed unit it calls the Motactor. With no separate contactor box to mount and wire, Warn says it saves space and cuts install time.
- Digital control with feedback: Every AXON comes with Warn's Rockerbar digital dash switch, which runs the winch and reports back while it works. Add the HUB receiver and a phone, and you get gauges for motor temperature, load and vehicle battery, plus wireless control that Warn rates past 100'.
- One-piece tie plate: Where many winches use separate tie bars, the AXON frame is joined by a single-piece tie plate. Warn uses it to add structural rigidity across the whole winch.
- IP68 and IP69K sealing: Warn rates the AXON at IP68 and IP69K. The first covers the winch sitting under water; the second covers close-range, high-pressure, hot-water washing, so river crossings and a hard clean-up stay inside the rating.
- Built and tested in USA: Warn designs, engineers, tests and assembles every AXON in the United States. It backs the mechanical parts for the life of the winch and the electrical parts for 3 years.
Description & Fitment
Part 110255 is the steel-rope AXON 55: 5,500 lb rated line pull, with a roller fairlead guiding 50' of 1/4" 7x19 aircraft wire rope. It shares the 15" long-drum frame and 3" x 6.59" pattern with the 45, and Warn's chart shows 15.8 ft/min with no load and 4.8 ft/min at the full 5,500 lb. The Rockerbar digital switch, HUB Wireless Receiver and a corded remote socket with harness are in the box.
Fitment & Compatibility
Choose the right version: this is the steel-rope AXON 55. With synthetic rope and an Epic hawse: AXON 55-S (110250). Less capacity on the same long drum: AXON 45 (110245).
Not included: the corded remote itself (the socket and harness are included) and the vehicle-specific winch mount kit, both sold separately.

Per Warn's chart, the first layer is rated 5,500 lb, dropping to 4,582 lb on the second, 3,926 lb on the third and 3,434 lb on the fourth.
How fast is it at the full 5,500 lb?
Warn charts 4.8 ft/min at 254 amps at the full 5,500 lb, and 15.8 ft/min at 28 amps with no load.
Do I need a winch mount?
Yes. An AXON bolts to a vehicle-specific winch mount kit, sold separately. Warn calls for class 8.8 metric (grade 5) or better bolts and says never to weld the mounting bolts.
What does the HUB receiver add?
Phone control that Warn rates past 100', live gauges for motor temperature, load and battery, and Plow Mode. It is included with the AXON 45, 45-S, 45RC, 55 and 55-S and sold separately for the 35 and 35-S.
Can it go through deep water?
Warn rates the AXON IP68 for submersion and IP69K for close-range, high-pressure washing. Follow Warn's manual for rope and drum care after a muddy or wet pull.
What does the warranty cover?
Warn covers the mechanical parts for the life of the winch and the electrical parts for 3 years from purchase, for the original buyer. Wire rope, synthetic rope and finish are excluded. Contact us to start a claim.
Installation
Here's the short version. Follow Warn's install sheet (below) for the exact positions and hardware.
- Read Warn's instructions and pick a mounting spot strong enough for the winch's full rated pull, with the fairlead warning label on top.
- Bolt the winch to the mount through its 3" x 6.59" long-drum pattern with class 8.8 metric (grade 5) or better hardware, torqued to 24.5 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). Never weld the mounting bolts, and finish the winch and hook before any wiring.
- Disconnect the vehicle battery, negative cable first, before touching any wiring.
- Mount the Rockerbar dash switch, and the optional corded remote socket, where they clear every vehicle control.
- Wire the winch to the AXON 45/55 diagram, fitting the supplied terminal boots and keeping cables away from sharp edges, hot parts, battery terminals and moving parts.
- Run Warn's system check: fasteners tight and torqued, every connection correct and tight, no bare wire or damaged insulation.

Warn covers the mechanical parts of this AXON winch against defects in material and workmanship for the lifetime of the winch, and the electrical parts for 3 years from the original purchase date.- Coverage is for the original purchaser only.
- A claim needs proof of purchase: a dated sales receipt and the original bill of sale showing the Warn product. Keep your Prestige Truck order receipt, and contact us to start a claim.
- Warn picks the remedy: it repairs or replaces the faulty product or part, or refunds the purchase price.
- The product is returned to Warn with transportation prepaid, or taken to a Warn authorized service center.
- Not covered: removing or reinstalling the winch, wire rope, synthetic rope and the finish.
- The warranty does not apply to damage from accident, abuse, misuse, collision, overloading, modification, misapplication, improper installation or improper service, and it is void if a Warn serial number or date code is removed or defaced.
- Commercial or industrial use, or any hoisting use, voids the warranty.

Check the carton for the winch with its rope, hook and fairlead, the Rockerbar switch and harness, and the HUB receiver on models that include it, then look over the drum, rope and housing before you mount it. Check it as soon as it arrives.- Look for crushed ends, punctures or tears in the carton.
- If something looks wrong, take photos of the box and the parts (and if a driver asks you to sign, note the damage on the receipt).
- Open the box and check the parts against the parts list before you install.
