Part 101570 is the steel-rope version of Warn's Drill Winch: a portable 750 lb puller with 40' of steel wire rope, a rope hook and an anchor hook, driven through a 5/16" shaft by a standard drill/driver you supply. A clutch dial frees the drum for pulling rope out by hand, and a mechanical load limiter ratchets if you ask for more than the rating.
Choose the right version: this is the steel-rope Drill Winch. Same winch with synthetic rope: Drill Winch 101575.
Not included: the drill/driver, gloves and rigging gear such as straps, D-shackles and a Warn winch damper, all sold separately, as Warn's manual lists them.

Steel rope suits rough, abrasive pulls. Warn notes it develops sharp barbs over time, so gloves are a must; the synthetic version is 101575.
Warn's own list includes moving logs, hauling game from the field, stretching fence, raising walls and loading trailers.
No. You supply a standard drill/driver; Warn says not to use an impact driver. Warn lists a minimum drive torque of 3 ft. lbs. (4 N-m) for the drill.
That is the load limiter telling you the pull is past the rating. Stop, power out to ease the line, then lighten the load or move the anchor farther away so more rope comes off the drum.
Warn defers to your drill: follow the drill maker's recommended run times and cooling times.
Warn covers the Drill Winch with a limited 1-year warranty. Keep your order receipt as proof of purchase, and contact us to start a claim.

The device is portable, easy to use, convenient to grab from my truck and use when electricity/ battery power not conveniently available. I loaded a Model A pickup onto my trailer with just my wife and myself available to get it loaded. It didnt even take one whole battery charge of the drill battery to get it loaded.
This works very well, and haven’t had any problems yet. Just what I was looking for. Thanks
I have used it twice and it has worked perfectly. I'm using it to pull fence tight on farm fence. The only thing I would improve on is the gear ratio so you can pull out faster and retract faster without load.
We had to lift and upright a medium size palm tree that was hanging into a swimming pool. Put a chain around the top of the trunk and this winch pulled it up with no problem!!

I hate "come-allongs"! Slow clunky, hard to use! Don't get me wrong, they work, and are cheap. Have had my eye on this winch for awhile, but after I had to winch my zero turn mower out of my barn and onto my trailer, with my old hand winch,"which by the way is MUCH better than anything you buy today!" , the starter went out, took me 30 minutes to load it up! Thats what Made me pull the trigger, glad I did! First time I used it was to pull a half submerged john boat, we had heavy rains and "someone" forgot to remove the drain plug on the boat! And they didn't move it high enough on the levey! Hooked it up to my tow hooks on my front bumper on my Ford got out the drill, and winched it up out of the water with no problem! Unit was satisfactory and worked well. However, unit was obviously used and repackaged yet was sold as NEW at full price (a premium brand at a premium price!). Had scars as well as caked on dirt where used, then returned. Really hoping it was not overloaded then returned, but I needed it for a job, so I kept it instead of returning it (unlike the first owner). If not for this and the high price it would have gotten 5 stars

My lawn tractor was stuck in a soft and wet area at the back of my property. I have an old "come-along" winch, but it was so difficult to use and slow. That experience prompted me to buy this drill winch. It hasn't been stuck since, but I have tested it by pulling heavy objects. 500 lbs. of force seems adequate, but I also purchased a "snatch block" to increase that force if needed. Be sure to wear glove when using this. The cable ends that are crimped still protrude and the strands will penetrate the skin...I know...
Lightweight, and handy. Don't leave home without it.
Tested the product using a 300 lb. log and winching it uphill. Using a standard (10 years old) 18 volt cordless drill, it pulled the log about 22 feet using the lower speed on one battery. It was slow but it performed as expected. I plan to use it primarily for winching deer out of steep ravines.
I use it for tree stand applications, it's very dependable.

Not as strong as I thought it would be
I’ve been using the previous version of the Warn Drill Winch for several years. It has been very useful as an emergency winch to get me out of a few tight spots while on my four wheeler and also doing chores around my property. This new model has a stronger 750 pound pulling capacity compared to the 500 pound pulling capacity of the older model. The 40 foot length of synthetic rope is safer and easier to handle as well. I’m very happy with my purchase!
Bought this for a shop winch suspended from ceiling and I use a Dewalt drill to power it. At first I used low speed on the drill and soon shifted it to high. Works great lifting my recumbent trike onto my work stand. No more pulled back muscles lifting eccentric loads in my shop. I will also use it around my properties when a winch is necessary. Not too heavy and the synthetic rope is a winner.

This was a company purchase and we used it to clean out plaster, lath, collapsed foundation walls, and other assorted debris from a basement. This product preformed, pulling tons and tons of debris up stairs. Excellent product.
Bought this looking for alternative to using vehicle or generator power . Used to pull atv out of sticky situation, and safely direct a tree when felling . Works as designed ..... Follow directions and don't exceed weight restrictions. Great quality , fair price !

Replaces a battery-powered Warn PullzAll: easier to handle, rope is better than cable for my purposes, no special battery to maintain, can spool it in/out unloaded much faster. I'm using a deep 5/16" socket rather than clamping a drill on it.

It is amazing what you can do with this tool. I have used it with an M18 Fuel and an M12 with great results. A real backsaver.
Comoact handy winch and works well for minimum loads
I have only used it once and it worked well to lift a 100 lb box. I didn't see anything in the sales hype about not using it as a hoist but when I got it, the instructions said to not use it as a hoist. That was the sole purpose I bought it for! I figured the mfgr was just CYA on the hoist thing so I tried it as a lifting tool and it worked fine. If they didn't want it used as a hoist, it should say so in the product description before you buy. Anyway it works for my purposes and is way faster and easier than a come along.
This winch worked effortlessly and no one was hurt trying to push a non-running car into an enclosed trailer. An absolute win.
I bought this to pull dead cars into/out of my shop which has a slight incline to the drive, and onto a car hauler. It successfully pulled my wife's Volvo 240 wagon into the shop last night and I'm sure with a snatch block will pull rollers onto my trailer. Super light weight with the synthetic rope. Impressed thus far!
