50' of 3/16" Warn synthetic rope on a hawse fairlead This is the synthetic-rope build. 50' of 3/16" (4.8mm) Warn synthetic rope runs through a hawse fairlead, which is the correct pairing because synthetic must never run over rollers. Against steel of the same rating it saves real weight at the very front of the machine, it does not develop the broken strands that make used steel line unpleasant to handle, and if it parts under load it drops instead of whipping. That last point is the one worth paying for.
The Size Most People Actually Need The 2,500 lb winches sell on price and the 4,500 lb winches sell on headline capacity, but the 3,500 lb slot is where most machines land once you weigh them with a rider, fuel and gear aboard. The VRX 35-S has enough margin that a routine self-recovery is not a full-effort pull for the winch, which is what keeps motor temperature down and gets you moving again sooner. It is also the largest VRX that still uses the compact 13.36" body and the narrow bolt pattern, so it fits mounts the VRX 45 will not.

IP68 Sealing, Sealed Rather Than Gasketed IP68 is a continuous-immersion rating, and Warn applies it to the whole VRX assembly rather than to the motor alone. I never knew how much I needed this
As with all BAK covers, the quality is amazing. What I didnt fully appreciate until installing was the ease of opening - especially in a lifted truck. No more need to find the right handhold. Just roll it back with a single hand. Its also great to see out of my rear window when fully open - something you lose with the fold back covers. Customer service is awesome. I has an installation question and the representative stayed on the line as I adjusted an alignment to ensure I did it properly.
