It measures 48 in wide by about 39-3/4 in front to back and sits crosswise on the bed floor, so it needs a full-size pickup bed or cargo van with room across the wheel wells; it is too wide for mid-size and compact beds. It bolts down through the base with the included hardware and can be stacked with other Pack Rat units. Installation

Set the unit in place on the bed floor, mark and drill the mounting holes through the base, then bolt it down with the supplied hardware. Coat any drilled holes with zinc-rich primer to prevent rust, and on aluminum beds follow the blind-fastener steps in the instructions. When stacking Pack Rat units, position the upper unit on the lower, mark and fasten the housing per the Weather Guard stacking instructions with the drawer and rollers removed. Follow the Weather Guard installation manual for exact hardware placement.
