The 308-3-04 is built from 14-gauge steel across the top and sides and rides on 12-gauge steel skids, so it shrugs off daily loading, weather and the rough life of a work truck. It is made to protect what is inside and keep working season after season.

Installation

Type: Bed-floor mount, bolt-in  ·  Time: About 1 to 2 hours  ·  Tools: Drill and bits, wrench or socket set, tape measure, marker, and zinc-rich primer to seal any drilled holes  ·  Difficulty: Moderate, DIY-friendly with basic hand tools

Set the unit in place on the bed floor, mark and drill the mounting holes through the base, then bolt it down with the supplied hardware. Coat any drilled holes with zinc-rich primer to prevent rust, and on aluminum beds follow the blind-fastener steps in the instructions. When stacking Pack Rat units, position the upper unit on the lower and fasten the housing per the Weather Guard stacking instructions with the drawer and rollers removed. Follow the Weather Guard installation manual for exact hardware placement.
