2024 to 2026 Tacoma (4th generation)
The newest Tacoma keeps the two-bed choice. The 5-ft bed pairs with the Double Cab only and is 60.3 in long. The 6-ft bed is 73.5 in long, and Toyota offers it on the XtraCab and the Double Cab. Toyota lists the bed as 20.2 in deep on some models and 21.2 in on others, and both depths appear on both bed lengths.
Both beds are 44.7 in wide between the wheel wells. Toyota's product information gives 53.0 in of width at the tailgate and 56.4 in at the accessory rail, the same on both beds.

2016 to 2023 Tacoma (3rd generation)

Toyota names its beds in whole feet. Cover labels sit closer to the measured length: the 73.5 in long bed is 6 ft 1.5 in and is listed as 6'2", the 60.5 in 2016 to 2023 short bed is listed as 5'1" and the 60.3 in 2024 to 2026 short bed as 5'. Brands do not all round the same way. In our fitment data the 2024 to 2026 long bed appears as 6' on some listings and 6'2" on others. The 3rd-generation short bed appears as both 5'1" and 5'2".
Treat every label in your generation's row as the same bed. Each generation has its own part number. The label alone does not tell you the generation: 6'2" appears on long-bed parts for 2005 to 2015, 2016 to 2023 and 2024 to 2026, and 5' appears on some 2005 to 2015 short-bed parts as well as the 2024 to 2026 ones. Deck Rail System and fit
Many Tacoma beds carry Toyota's Deck Rail System, a pair of tracks with sliding tie-down cleats. Whether the rails matter depends on the cover. For 2024 to 2026, the UnderCover and TruXedo parts are written for beds that have the rails, and Roll-N-Lock M-Series covers mount to them. The BAK, Retrax and Extang listings give no rail note. Access soft roll-ups ship with special hardware that may disable or limit the rails.
Older parts add a second catch: some 2016 to 2023 listings leave out the Trail Special Edition and the factory cargo track. Read the notes on your part if your bed has either one.
