BAKFlip FiberMax Hard Folding Tonneau Cover for 2019-2023 Ford Ranger (5'1" Bed)

Here's the short version. Follow BAK's install sheet (below) for your truck's exact clamp positions and settings.

1. Seal the bulkhead. Clean the top of the bulkhead (soap and water, then isopropyl alcohol) and stick the bulkhead seal from edge to edge; with a drop-in bed liner, trim off the liner's front lip first. Press a foam pad seal into each front corner, under the bed rail cap and onto the bulkhead face.
2. Fit the truck brackets. Slip a rear bracket under the metal bed rail above each taillight post (locating tab in the hole, stud in the slot) and fasten it with the 1/4-20 nut and a 7/16" wrench, without over-tightening. Slide in the front brackets and bolt them into the threaded hole at each front corner with the M8 bolts and a 13 mm wrench (clean the threads first if the bed has a spray-in liner).
3. Clamp the side rails. Stick a rubber spacer on the bed rail beside the middle clamp position, set each rail flush above the top of the bed rail and fit three clamp assemblies per side, center one first. Press down on the rail as you tighten so it sits flush and seals, then tighten all clamps to 10 ft-lb with a 1/2" wrench or socket. Fit the drain tubes and route them behind a bed liner, through the bed plugs or through a 5/8" hole in the bulkhead.
4. Fit the cover. Slide the two cover retainer clamps into the track under the cover near the cab, and screw the two strap buckles to the front panel by hand with a Phillips screwdriver (BAK says no screw gun). Set the folded cover on the rails at the cab end, centered between them, and turn the retainer clamps clockwise until the lock washer is secure.
5. Unfold and square it up. With the cover still folded, clean its top edge where it meets the cab (soap and water, then isopropyl alcohol) and stick the cab bumpers along it. Unfold the cover to the tailgate and check that each panel is centered side to side and front to back; the tail panel should overlap the tailgate by about 1/2". Shift it on the loosened retainer clamps if needed, then re-tighten them. With a power tailgate, make sure it still opens and closes with the cover shut.
6. Check the latches. Release each latch to make sure it catches the side rails; the sheet shows how to adjust a slam latch that hits or misses. BAK's warranty asks you to re-check every clamp after the first week of driving and now and then after that.
