Extang Solid Fold ALX Hard Folding Tonneau Cover for 2024-2025 Ford Ranger (5'1" Bed)

Here's the short version. Follow Extang's install sheet (below) for your truck's exact hardware, clamp positions and torque settings.

1. Stick on the bulkhead seal. Clean the top of the bulkhead with soap and water, then isopropyl alcohol, and let it dry. Peel the backing and press the seal on flush with the front edge, snug between the rail caps.
2. Fit the front latch brackets. Pry the factory clips out of the front bed-cap recesses, both sides. Set each front (cab) latch bracket in its recess and fasten it with the Torx screw through the bed rail into the M6 flange locknut, 8 ft-lb (11 Nm), using a T-30 Torx and a 10mm wrench.
3. Fit the rear brackets. Remove the factory flange bolt, set the rear latch bracket, refit the factory bolt (T-45, 16 ft-lb / 22 Nm) and add a Torx screw (T-30, 8 ft-lb / 11 Nm). Put the striker bracket on with two M6 flange nuts, hand-tight.
4. Place and clamp the cover. Set the folded cover at the cab end, unfold it so the tailgate seal meets the tailgate with its first two fins, and refold it. Slide each front clamp in at an angle, turn the clamp body to match the bracket, swing it under and tighten by hand only (no wrench) while pushing the cover down.
5. Tether, close and adjust. Clip each tether's carabiner to the accessory hook at the front of the bed, both sides. With the tailgate open, close the cover and adjust the latches and rotary knob as the sheet shows.
6. Make the final adjustment. Loosen the striker flange nuts, push the cover firmly down to the side rails, match both sides and tighten the 10mm nuts to 8 ft-lb (11 Nm) while you keep pushing down.
