This video covers the standard Solid Fold 2.0, not the Toolbox version on this page. Extang states that the two share the same construction, so the panels, frame and clamps carry over. The Toolbox model is the shorter one, with the L-Channel added at the front.

Straight answers on specs, fit and support
Extang builds the cover short so a crossover box can sit ahead of it against the cab. The size range Extang gives for that box is listed in the specifications. Measure your box front to back and check it against that figure before ordering, because the L-Channel has to reach it.
About two thirds of it. Extang rates the cover for two thirds bed access folded, and the panels stack at the cab end while you use the rest. Both buckle straps have to be fastened before you drive with it folded. Take the cover off the rails and you have the whole bed.
The perimeter carries snap-on triple-fin seals, the corners and hinges get hard polymer caps and the L-Channel closes the gap at the toolbox. Extang calls the fit weather resistant rather than sealed, so expect it to shed rain and dust rather than keep the bed completely dry.
No. It clamps to the bed rails, nothing gets drilled and no hardware goes into the sheet metal. The Jaw-Grip and EZ-Lock clamps tighten by hand, so there is no tool kit to dig out. Those same clamps are what let you lift the cover off later without tools.
Yes, provided both buckle straps are fastened over the folded stack. Extang lists an unsecured folded cover as a condition that voids the warranty. Clear snow, ice or loose debris off the top before you fold it, since opening a loaded cover can damage the panels. Closed, all four clamps must be tight.
Soap and water is what Extang lists for cleaning, and the panels are TPO composite in an aluminum frame rather than vinyl. On the warranty side, the terms are voided by cargo pressing against the panels, by driving folded without both buckles fastened, by opening the panels with snow or ice on top and by towing the truck from the rear.

This bed cover would be 5 stars, however I am only rating it a 4 star product. The only complaint is that I wish it was a tighter seal specifically at the front bed rail sides leading up to where it meets the tool box. The flange and seal at the tool box seems tight but the 18" of bed cover along the bed rails leading up to this don't seal completely tight. This is due to the flange where the cover meets the tool box and the cover being slightly elevated in this location. I believe a thicker seal would eliminate the gap. I am going to install 1/4" sponge window seal to tighten up the seal. Other than this small imperfection or complaint, the cover looks good, easy to install, easy to adjust as needed for everyday use, and the price seems fair.
Quality is good and it looks great (2012 Tacoma), definitely adds to the aesthetic of the truck. However installation wasn't as easy as expected. There were parts that weren't labeled that were specific for the Tacoma and ended up spending extra time and watching two YouTube videos to figure out what to do since there were not specific instructions with the installation kit. It rained all weekend after putting the cover on, and there was some water that got in the truck because the seal is not tight all the way around (due to design of the truck), but not overflowing or soaked. If the product was 1-2 inches longer it would have helped cover the entire length of the bed. I would say that it does the job of a decent tonneau cover, but for the price maybe could have more custom fit, since it's in the same price range as the bak flip covers.
Need a good cover to work with my bed toolbox. This covered all the bases for me. Easy to install and is fairly leak free.

Very happy with the quality of materials. Easy installation and very quick to open and close. I didnβt expect it to be completely waterproof of course but it does a pretty great job both static and driving in the rain.
Bought for a 2014 F150 6.5β bed. Installed for 6 months and working great. Simple to fold out of the way if needed. More secure and durable than other covers. Seals are great and if I cared more it could easily be 100% waterproof. Installation takes minutes. Very happy with purchase
I wanted a bed cover that looks nice and offer more theft protection that your typical vinyl covers. This cover is very durable and quality constructed. It does a great job at protecting your cargo from the weather. Installation was fast & easy and it can be removed if necessary just as easily, no tools required. Itβs securely locks in place yet easily folds up when access to your trunk bed is needed. A third of the truck bed always remains covered when folded and may be an issue for some but it isnβt for me.

Just what I wanted
I'll need to live with it for a while as I've only had the truck a couple of weeks and the cover less than that. It fits perfectly, was a breeze to install and is the easiest cover to open and close I've ever had - and I've had a few. Only thing I can see that might become an issue is the width of the panels. Folded up, it's quite a reach from where you can stand in the bed to the toolbox. Four smaller panels vs. three large ones might have been a better approach.

Fits perfect, took only a few minutes to install. Seems very sturdy/secure. Well built, no defects, not even a scratch.
This bed cover is very well built and worth the money. Installed very easily in about 15 minutes. It is indeed weather proof and does not leak. I took it through an automatic car wash and the bed was dry with no evidence of leaking. This unit is rugged and would be very difficult to break into, unlike a soft top tonneau cover. Color and material grain match the truck nicely and it looks great. It is strong enough to set items on top of it as well. I have nothing negative to say, as it is exactly what Extang says it is. If you need to remove it, it does have a little weight to it, but nothing unreasonably heavy.
The cover was easy to install and remove. It butts up nicely to the toolbox and the water channel seems to catch water just fine. The latching system requires you to unclip both sides verses a single pull release, but not a big deal if not opening daily. Iβm happy with this product.
Don't expect this 1400 dollar cover to be with a tool box that's where i messed up
I installed it in a 2016 Ram Long Bed and it was 1/16" too narrow on either side so it didn't completely cover the center stake pocket. I purchased picked covers... Problem fixed. Otherwise totally awesome

I was looking for a hard bed cover that would work with a bed toolbox. This Extang cover is well made, easy to install, and looks great!
Bought this because i liked the look and also the fact that it is not just a soft cover. everything Is great about it except two things: One, and most importantly, is that it leaks. this occurs around the hinges/seems at the folds. Stored camping gear overnight for departure the following day. In the morning found all the gear to moderately wet right under each of the seams. Second, the handles/clamps that latch in the back can get in the way of cargo. This is mostly a minor inconvenience but does create issues if you have large objects in the bed and or full bed or when you are trying to remove/replace cargo via the tailgate without opening the top. One of the major benefits is since it is a hard top, it won't shrink, like every other soft tonneau I have owned. Plus it is strong enough to sit on and to place items/gear on. Though I have not transported anything on top of it, we doβ¦

Very easy to install and is good solid construction. We can still tow our fifth wheel camper with it folded up, and it doesn't interfere with the fifth wheel. Very good looking addition to the truck.

The fit is exact for 6β4β bed with 19β width toolbox. Added 1β marine grade weather stripping between toolbox and cover to stop any water leaks. So far itβs working. Itβs an easy installation, just take your time. No problems.
My toolbox is a bit shorter than 20β so mine is a bit short not quite on the L channel they send and not quite secured on the tail gate.
The solid fold bed cover is as advertised....a little pricey, but user friendly, sturdy and secure. It will literally withstand the weight of a grown man. It is also water tight from what I can tell.
The Extangs a great looking and is very durable, the installation was very easy to follow, it fit perfectly on my truck with the tool box. It really is the perfect cover if you have a tool box already installed.

So far I love this bed cover. I wanted a cover that would work with a toolbox and the covers that are made with a toolbox are 3 to 4 times the price and you only get a shallow box. I wanted to keep my standard depth toolbox and cover the remaining bed and this works great. I weatherstripped my toolbox to the front of the bed and installed this cover behind it and I haven't had a chance to drive in the rain but in my opinion it should be as weather resistant or more than most other covers I see. I work at a Ford dealer so I see many different options. It looks great on my truck and is everything I hoped it would be so far.
Only downside is that the bed cover does not come with a pivot and prop for the end section to hold the cover in a completely out of the way position. While Pulling a fifth wheel this would have been a benefit instead of having to completely remove it.
Seams to seal up good. Good solid cover will last a long long time. I must say I am disappointed. The video I watch on installation showed a rail that is bolted on. The cover I received for my Ford Ranger did not come with anything to bolt on. Has just a clamp at one end. And had to cut up my bed rail cover to get the Tonnequ Cover attached.
Cover looks great, sturdy so far. On my 2020 F350 the latches for the connection point next to toolbox slightly interfere with the design of the bedrail, so couldn't push as far forward as hoped. Also it's not 100% waterproof but so far very little water getting in rainstorms.
Got this after doing a lot of research. I wanted something that was strong on top but could move away in sections--not a solid lift top. So I got this. Installing it was fairly easy, just follow the instructions. I did have to re-adjust the position once due to some rain getting in, but after that I have not had any leaks. It also insulates against the hot weather--I've found the inside of the truck bed to be much cooler than the hot weather outside. It's perfect for hauling boxes and hay as I can fold it back to get to what I need. You can lock it shut (need locking tailgate as well) and you can lock it fully open with the buckles provided.
I think it looks great, is easy to put on and use but I wish it was wide enough to fully cover the bed stake pockets to keep rain from getting in the bed of the truck. It's close, just doesn't quite cover the holes and seal thos pockets. Otherwise I love it.
Very nice looking, waterproof, easy to install. My only complaint are the latching handles to tighten down are cheaply made the first day the thin plastic guide broke on two of the handles.
If I were to design this cover, I would add an extra panel giving it one extra flip. With only two flips, there is too much of my bed that is in accessible with the cover on . I miss having the full bed access I used to have with my Bak flip cover. I do however prefer the way this cover seals over the bed rails instead of the channels I had with my old cover which used mess up the seals if the cover was not aligned perfectly. This cover is much easier to use the real test will come this winter .
The cover will not stand highway speeds and maintain it's rigid appearance. It developed waves in the top, produced by the air flowing over the cover. This occurred after my 1st highway trip around 70mph for three hours of driving.

I had the soft version and this is much sturdier. It took very little time to install and it's very well made. It should last for years.
Good looking cover for a Ford F-150, however, it did not fit my 1997 Step side and I am disappointed. I gave it the highest rating because customer is second to none. Thank you for your help! I could not get it across to the service rep that I am updating a Step side pick up, other than that, good product.

looks good and installed pretty easy. at first i was confused because the installation video didnβt look like the one i had received, but upon further investigation it looks like they upgraded the hook mechanisms. under like rain this cover holds up well, but after a downpour i noticed that there was water coming in from the passenger side in the middle of the bed.
Easy install, easy fold cover. However the fit could be better. It isnβt quite wide or long enough for a good seal on the bed rales or tailgate.
Iβm trying to send this back. Itβs 1-1/2β to 2β short for my 2019 short bed crew. Only one of three seals fits front and back. Nice cover though.
This is my second Tonneau cover from American Trucking. I loved the first so much that I immediately ordered the same cover when I purchased my Ram 2500 (had a Ram 1500). All was good except I noticed some slight, but important, variations between the models. (1) The newer model does not have the support straps that attach to the bed hooks close to the cab. Not sure if this will impact the security of the cover. (2) The bed lights that came on Model #1 are gone. This is a HUGE disappointment since my new truck does not have OEM bed lights installed. Iβll deal with it, but that was a definite nice-to-have. (3) The latches to clamp the last panel down (closest to the tailgate) are quicker to install, but are made of plastic so Iβm not sure how they will hold up. Also, they seemingly may be in the way of cargo depending on how much I need to pack into the truck bed. Overall, itβs a niceβ¦
