Features
- One-Hand Rotary Release: Drop the tailgate, twist the rotary knob on the driver side and lift: the rear panel opens with one hand. Extang says this release is unique among soft tri-fold covers.
- Latches Itself When Closed: Lower the cover onto the bed and the Auto Latching System catches both latches on its own, so there are no tailgate clamps to set every time you close it.

The Extang Trifecta ALX is a soft tri-fold tonneau cover for the 6'7" bed of the 2016-2024 Nissan Titan XD with Utili-Track. It mounts with slide blocks in the factory cargo rails, so there is no drilling. A rotary knob releases both latches with one hand, and folded and buckled at the cab it leaves about two thirds of the bed open. Its pebble-grain DualShield vinyl top sits over aluminum MegaBows and dual-pivot hinges, backed by Extang's limited lifetime warranty.

Will this fit my 2016-2024 Nissan Titan XD?

Does it matter if my Titan has Utili-Track?
Yes. This version is for beds with Nissan's Utili-Track channels, and it mounts in them. Without Utili-Track, look at the 2016-2024 Nissan Titan XD 6'7" bed without Utili-Track (90931).
How is the Trifecta ALX different from the Trifecta 2.0?
Both are soft tri-fold covers on an aluminum frame. The Trifecta 2.0 is held shut at the tailgate by spring-loaded EZ-Lock clamps that you release by hand. The ALX replaces those with a rotary knob you turn with one hand to open it, and latches that catch on their own when you close it.
Will it keep rain and snow out of the bed?
It is built to. Extang says the triple-fin seals are part of the frame rather than glued on, and the MegaBows keep the top from sagging under rain, hail and snow. Like any soft folding cover it is weather-resistant rather than watertight. Brush snow and ice off before you fold it; Extang's warranty requires that.
Can I drive with it folded open, or take it off?
Yes to both. Fold it toward the cab and fasten both buckle straps with the tethers attached, and you can drive with about two thirds of the bed open. For the whole bed, loosen the clamps by hand and lift the cover off. Never drive with it partly open.
How do I clean the vinyl?
Use Extang Tonno Tonic or mild soap and water. Skip vinyl conditioners that contain silicone or petroleum: they dry the vinyl out, and Extang's warranty excludes damage from them.
Installation
Here's the short version. Follow Extang's install sheet (below) for your truck's exact bracket hardware and torque settings.
- Place the cover and open the rails. Set the folded cover at the cab end, square to the bed, with its bulkhead seal on the bulkhead; unfold it so the tailgate seal touches the tailgate with its first two fins, then refold it without moving it. Take the tailgate-end caps off the cargo rails and remove any tie-downs, both sides.
- Fit the cab clamp brackets. Slide a cab slide block into each cargo rail from the tailgate end and move it near the cab. Line the cab clamp bracket up with the cover's cab clamp and screw it to the slide block with the T-27 wrench. Hook the cab clamp under the bracket and turn the T-handle until it touches, then two more turns. No wrench.
- Fit the tethers. Unscrew each tether knob from its slide block, slide the block into the cargo rail and thread the knob back through the washer into it, both sides. Refit any tie-downs.
- Mount the striker brackets (Tundra and Titan). With the tailgate open and the cab clamps tight, close the cover. Take the striker bracket off its slide block, slide the block into the tailgate end of the cargo rail and refit the bracket lined up with the cover latch. Push the cover down while you hand-tighten the Torx screws; the final adjustment comes later.
- Adjust the latches and rotary knob. Both latches and the knob leave the factory only partly tightened. Lower the rear of the cover, slide each latch until it catches its striker and lock it from underneath with the T-20 wrench. Leave 3/4"-1" of the driver-side cable through the barrel clamp, tighten the knob screws and the barrel-clamp set screws (2.5mm hex), then turn the knob to check both latches let go. Hand tools only, no power tools.
- Make the final adjustment. Back off the striker bracket screws, pull the cover firmly down to the rail and tailgate so the brackets move down, match both sides and retighten to 3.5 ft-lb (4.7 Nm). Refit the cargo-rail end caps if needed.

Extang covers the Trifecta ALX with a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, starting on the date of purchase.- What's covered: the rails, clamps, bows, aluminum parts, hardware and the vinyl top.
- A defective cover, tarp or part is repaired or replaced, at Extang's choice; Extang may substitute a newer model of similar form and function, or offer a warranty discount on a full replacement system.
- For the original purchaser only, not transferable. Register the cover with Extang, or keep a detailed, dated receipt; contact us for registration help.
- To keep it valid: clean with Extang Tonno Tonic or mild soap and water only (no conditioners with silicone or petroleum); drive only with the cover fully closed and held at all four clamps, or fully folded and buckled at the cab with both tethers attached; never drive with it partly open; keep cargo from touching the cover; clear snow, ice and debris before folding it; check the cab clamps after the first week and from time to time after that; take the cover off before the truck is towed from the rear.
- Claims: get a return authorization number from Extang first and write it on the outside of the package. Shipping to Extang is at your cost, Extang may ask for the part back postage prepaid, and shipping charges apply to any repair or replacement.
