VoltStep is Go Rhino's powered running board: a 6" aluminum step on two electric motors per side that deploys when a door opens and retracts when the doors close, in Textured Black or Bedliner Coating with a mounting kit for each vehicle.

Go Rhino's sheet allows 2-3 hours. Some trucks have no threaded hole for the control module, so a rivet nut from the kit goes in first, and the wiring enters the cab through a 7/16" hole drilled in a plastic floor grommet.
An automatic safety stop halts the motors when a board meets an obstruction, which protects the boards and anyone standing next to them.
Yes. The kit includes a manual bypass switch that mounts inside the cab. It overrides the automatic deploy and retract for jobs like loading cargo or going through a car wash.
Professional installation is recommended. The job means removing interior trim, routing a harness along the frame, passing wires into the cab and connecting to the battery. Go Rhino's guides allow 2-3 hours on most vehicles and 3-5 hours on the Ram, F-150 / Super Duty and Jeep kits.
Go Rhino's guides ask you to check and tighten the fasteners from time to time, dry the boards after washing, wash often in winter to get road salt off, and clean with mild soap and water. Skip abrasive cleaners; if you wax, use a non-abrasive wax such as carnauba.

These are high quality running boards. They were easy to install. The only issue was aligning the magnets. That took several attempts to get them working properly and actually broke both magnets on the back doors.

Steps are great very helpful with my 88 yr old father, but only had them for 2 weeks and the paint is already chipping off.
The running boards fit well, look fantastic, and weren't hard to install, thanks to solid engineering that is apparent. Hopefully this will be an indicator of long-term reliability, as the factory versions of automatic running boards from Ford and GM are known for problems.

How to say I really do love these running boards. My 5’1“ wife can get up and down in the truck with ease.
Easy to install. Just me and my daughter took under an hour. I replaced the factory rock rails and when closed these almost match. The height of the step is perfect. Im a double amputee and it makes getting in and out tremendously easy for me. 5 star, 10/10, Fire whatever metric you use, these steps excel.

The hot wires are made for the battery on the drivers side not the passenger side I hade to add about 4’
Can wire to go up and down with dash switch when doors are off or with Tube doors on, Dual Motors on each step is nice in winter conditions.
If you own a Bronco Outer Bands/Sasquatch package with the closed back running boards and have trouble getting in with the closed backs on those boards and turning your foot sideways, this is the fix. For one, the Voltstep boards go lower than the factory just ask my wife 5’1” for easy in and out. Installation is very straightforward, even for a novice. These are the best bang for your hard earned buck. They work flawlessly and look great either up or down. Get them now!
The quality of the steps is good. After the install they have a slight upward angle. The installation manual is out dated. If you’re scared to pull your interior apart, pay someone to install. The kit was missing the LED’s and disabling switch. After three weeks, I’m still waiting for the parts to finish the job
I like the steps a lot now there on but mounting them was a pain! I had to manufacture the lower mounting holes and the upper ones mounted different. The wiring was good but it took some thought. I would say installing them is not for everyone.
I had the steps installed and they worked perfectly for 1 month. Yesterday they began malfunctioning and now today they don't function at all. I'm hoping I can still give a 5 star rating and get this issue resolved with excellent customer service.
The price is right, installation fairly easy, included printed instructions pretty good but a couple of YouTube videos are better.
I love the steps! Great steps for the money and they look good on my 4 runner. Can’t beat the price for the quality of the steps. I do recommend them for what they cost and the quality of the product.
because I lift my truck, I was in need of a lower running boards and after looking and looking at several options and I came across this electric runnig boards. Installation was simple and the looks I just love it. When doors are closed and the running boards are retracted, my truck has a cleaner look.

It was pretty hard to install because the instructions were poorly written. If I had known how difficult it would be, I definitely would have purchased standard running boards. I'm not sure I like all the connections and controller under the truck being subjected to the weather. Overall, they look good enough but I would not buy these again.

Steps work well, come down to a good height, on my Sasquatch Bronco, they are about 1/2 way between the cabin floor and the ground, so right where you want them. Two motors per side, everything fit well, no huge problems getting the steps installed. The worst part is running the wires for the door sensors under the flooring. If you are thinking of doing sound damping mats, or replacing the flooring, you might want to do this then, it would be much easier with the floor out. The sensors are not hard to get lined up, took 2-3 cycles per door and it was done. They fold up tight to the rockers, and look great stowed. Covers the body lip below the rocker also. When the steps are down, there are lights on each side that illuminate the step, very helpful at night.
These are very good steps for the price. Shipping was great and all packages were very well protected, everything arrived in great shape. Only real complaint is the loud Clunk they make when folding up. Instructions are just ok, could use better pictures(especially of Ground location). The lights also need more wire, not crazy about how you had to run the wire to them. Overall would buy again and have recommended them to friends.

Installation on my 2022 F150 XLT took about 3 hours between my friend and myself, both of us complete novices when it comes to anything vehicle related. The instructions were extremely clear. No drilling, no tapping, just straight bolt on. Wiring was extremely simple. The panels on a ford are so much easier to remove over my 2020 silverado. VERY happy with these, I get a lot of compliments and have been through a car wash 4 or 5 times now with no issues. Just be sure to use the extra zip ties and secure the wires in place well and you will have no issues!

The running boards are fantastic. Got them for my husband for Christmas and he was super surprised and so amazed at how well they work. They are virtually invisible. The installation did take 6 1/2 hours but the directions were easy to read. They work actually amazing.
These are the only steps on the market that have a dual motor system. Making it the longer lasting and more durable design. Easy to install.

Easy to install with good directions. I did not have to remove wheels as liners are easy to remove without removal of tires. Had no issues with install and work good, fast up and down.
The cover has the perfect fit, look and functionality I was looking for however it show up damaged. The left side strut support had two separated rivets. It seemed something hit the support, it has a scratch mark where something damaged it. I didn't want to wait for another cover and go through all that R&R stuff so I decided to use the cover as is. I will contact a friend who has a rivet gun to replace the two separated rivets.
I had a professional install the running boards. The hardware would have been easy, but I did not want to do the wiring myself. I really like the way that they tuck up under the chassis and preserve the stance of the truck. And, of course, the automation is so convenient by presenting them when you want them and putting them away when the doors close.

I installed these boards looks very beefy never thought it could take a hit like they did I was hit from the right side the impact pushed my truck side ways I was thinking that the boards were smashed the rocker panel was crushed these boards took the impact with only a scuff mark did not bend the board or break the motor mechanism these are very strong and durable I would recommend these they are rhino 🦏 tuff Replace door fender and rocker panel board came out with just a scuff! I haven’t had a chance to install them yet! I’ll let you know what I think in a couple weeks, when I get the chance to get them installed! But I am a bit bummed that they are now on-sale, AFTER I bought mine!
The install was a little difficult, but my daughter and I managed to get it done in 5 hours. Directions were straight forward, but complex for a backyard mechanic. Definitely a two person operation. The finished product is great looking and has worked perfectly.
First I have over 20years experience building Offroad vehicles and fabrication of suspension! Great kit fair price. Wiring could use a bit of help I can see where the driveway mechanic could screw up a few times! All in all. Good kit

I bought this because my wife had a hard time getting out of the truck with the OEM running boards. After a lot of research, and some GREAT customer service help, these seemed the best option. They are roughly 1. 5" - 2" lower than OEM. In addition, they look amazing and I love the way the truck looks when they are folded up. They pop down quickly and the light is nice at night. The installation was the best. While I am no mechanic, I am an electronics guy from the Navy and the instructions made perfect sense. They said it would take between 3-5 hours to install, and with the help of a friend who is a mechanic, we got it done in just shy of 3. 5 hours. Worth the price for sure!

Had these steps professionally installed and so far working great. Extends lower then the factory steps on an F250 Tremor
The running boards look great and function as they should, but unfortunately they have developed a noticeable rattling/vibrating noise when they retract. I checked the installation and tightened the mounting points to the truck, which helped reduce the vibration, but the noise is still there. For power running boards, I expected them to operate quietly and smoothly, especially considering they haven’t been abused or damaged. I was great, just didn’t fit my truck
My wife loves them. It only took an hour and a half to put the hardware on the 4Runner. The necessary tools was half right, had to move the control box to the other side of the body mount. The electrical wiring was a little different than the instructions, which are dated 2016. So started out knowing there would be some things I’d have to finagled, so it almost 3 times as much time. I do like the switch to turn them off, the AMP running boards on my pickup don’t have that.

This was a Christmas gift from my wife, which I was so excited to unwrap! The install took me all day, but I was taking my time to make sure I did everything correctly. I love these running boards!
Good product. Receive and everything was as advertised. Installation instructions were straightforward and after a bit of time studying, got them installed successfully.
These running boards look great. The instructions were excellent and the install was easy. The only problem I had was that the boards are slightly angled in after tightening down.
Running boards came with a defective magnetic induction module. Will have to disassemble interior again to install when I get the replacement. That's a disappointment. Instructions say to sandwich the control module with the passenger side idler. When I did that, the wiring harness was too short to reach the passenger front motor. I wound up mounting the control panel separately on the forward middle mount and the idler on the rear middle mount. Wiring harness fit fine after that. I'm guessing that's what the M8X25MM bolts were for, since there's nothing in the instructions that tells you where they're used. Installation time for me was about 6 hours. Wasn't that difficult, but wasted a lot of time troubleshooting wiring harness and then disassembling and reassembling the idler, and then troubleshooting defective induction module.
I purchased these running boards to allow my wife and daughter to get in my GMC Canyon easily, without losing ground clearance or being in my way when they aren’t riding with me. So far, I love the running boards themselves. They look great, appear to be well designed and built, and don’t require any wiring changes other than a connection to the battery for power. My only complaint about this product is the instructions. The printed instructions provided with my running boards were not correct for my truck model (despite being labeled correctly) - the components listed were incorrect, and the details were completely wrong. The video instructions were better, and would be a good resource when paired with the correct instructions, but really just followed a different (more accurate) set of printed instructions with some short video clips and no dialogue. The E1 kit is great. The only exception is that the cab wiring instructions didn't exactly work for my truck so a few modifications where necessary and the company logo labels are reversed on the drivers side.
