Features

  • Adjust Length on the Vehicle: ICON's Double Adjuster, pinch-bolt housings and threaded rod ends let you change track bar length with the bar installed, so the axle can be centered after any height change.
  • Axle Centered Under the Vehicle: A lift pulls a fixed factory track bar off center. Setting the ICON bar to length puts the axle back under the middle of the body.
  • DOM Tube or Billet Aluminum: Track bars are CNC bent from 1026 DOM tube with a powder coat or machined from 6061 aluminum, depending on the platform.
  • Rod Ends Replace Soft Bushings: FK rod ends, PTFE-lined rod ends and OE-style ball joints remove the deflection of rubber factory bushings for steadier steering.
  • Steadier Steering After a Lift: A centered axle and low-deflection joints give steadier steering on a lifted truck.
  • Sized for Stock to Lifted Trucks: ICON designs each bar for a lift range, from stock height to large lifts that add a drop bracket; the fitment notes give the range.

Description & Fitment

Here is ICON's adjustable track bar sized for the 2005-2016 Ford F-250 Super Duty and F-350 Super Duty, on 4WD models. ICON sells it to keep the axle centered under the vehicle when ride height is changed. From stock height to 9" of lift it works, adding a drop bracket above 5.5"; the FK rod end and machined spacers replace the stock bushing. ICON's sheet calls for the vehicle to be aligned once the parts are in.

About ICON Vehicle Dynamics

ICON.

ICON Vehicle Dynamics designs and builds performance suspension for trucks and SUVs at its shop in Riverside, California. Engineering is led by Dylan Evans, its head engineer and a SCORE champion driver, and ICON tests its parts on the street, on the trail and under race conditions.

ICON's engineers begin with the result they want from a vehicle, then study the forces acting on it in motion, which is where the name Vehicle Dynamics comes from. Fabrication stays in ICON's own shop, from laser cutting and metal forming to CNC machining, welding and final assembly. ICON calls its suspension systems and shock absorbers the top choice for popular trucks and SUVs.

Authorized ICON Vehicle Dynamics dealer. Prestige Truck is an authorized ICON Vehicle Dynamics dealer, so every ICON part we sell is new and genuine. ICON's warranty is for the original retail buyer, on the vehicle the part was first installed on. Keep your Prestige Truck order receipt: we use it when we take a claim to ICON for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this fit my 2005-2016 Ford F-250 Super Duty?

It fits when your vehicle matches one of these rows: 2005-2016 Ford F-250 Super Duty (4WD); 2005-2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty (4WD). If you are unsure about your trim or drivetrain, send us your VIN and we will check it against ICON's application list before you order.

Is an alignment part of the install?

Yes. ICON's install sheet for 64035 calls for the vehicle to be aligned once the track bar is in. The sheet is linked in the Installation section below.

Why does a lifted vehicle need an adjustable track bar?

A track bar locates the axle side to side. Lifting the vehicle changes its angle and shifts the axle off center, so an adjustable bar lets you set the length and center the axle again.

Will it fix death wobble?

ICON says its adjustable track bars help prevent the front-end wobble that worn or soft factory bushings can cause on these trucks. Wobble can have other causes too, so have the whole front end checked.

Do I need an alignment?

ICON calls for an alignment after most of its track bar installs, since centering the axle changes the front-end settings. The Installation section of each part shows what ICON asks for.

What warranty applies?

ICON's published limited warranty applies to its track bars and brackets, for the original buyer and the vehicle they were first installed on. Contact us first for a claim and we will open it with ICON.

What's involvedFor the front track bar: the factory bar is unbolted from the frame and separated from the axle taper, and the adjustable bar is installed and its length set to center the axlerequires an alignment and a re-torque after 100 miles.

Here's the short version. Follow ICON's install sheet (below) for your vehicle's exact steps and torque values.

  1. Place the vehicle in park and chock the tires. Remove the factory track bar from the frame bracket using two 24mm socket/ wrenches. The vehicle may shift slightly when the track bar is loosened.
  2. Remove the track bar from the ball joint taper on the axle. Using a 24mm socket/wrench, remove the nut and separate the ball joint using a ball joint separator and hammer.
  3. This track bar has been preset at 37", which is the average end-user length. Remove the pinch bolts using a 3/8" 12pt wrench.
  4. This track bar is adjustable from 36.70" – 37.50". The stock track bar measures 36.91" from eye to eye.
  5. If adjustment is needed, loosen the pinch bolts with a 3/8" 12pt wrench. Adjust the collar as needed to center the axle underneath the frame.
  6. Have the vehicle professionally aligned.
