Description & Fitment

The ICON front box kit gathers many of the smaller parts an ICON 4.5" lift system needs on the 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler. It contains a front track bar drop bracket, a steering drag link, machined aluminum bump stop spacers, brake line drop brackets and steering flip hardware. The drop brackets help restore geometry after the lift. Check your system first, and plan on an alignment after install.

What's involvedThe front track bar bracket, bump stop spacers in drilled 3/8" holes, a steering flip adapter, sway bar links and an ICON driveshaft installsome models need the skid plate trimmed, then alignment and a 100-mile re-torque.

Here's the short version. Follow ICON's install sheet (below) for your vehicle's exact steps and torque values.

  1. Using a properly rated hydraulic jack, raise the vehicle and support the frame rails with jack stands. Ensure jack stands are secure and set properly before lowering the hydraulic jack. NEVER WORK UNDER AN UNSUPPORTED VEHICLE.
  2. Using a 21mm socket/wrench, remove the front track bar from the axle. The axle may move slightly when taking the bolt out.
  3. Install the front track bar bracket: slide the new bracket into the stock track bar mount on the axle and position around the axle tube.
  4. Install the steering flip adapter: The 5/8" shank end goes down through the steering arm and the taper sleeve adapter is inserted up around the stem from the bottom, start the nut.
  5. Install front sway bar links (original rear sway bar links removed earlier): Use (2) 18mm for the lower bolt and (1) 18mm and (1) 19mm for the upper stud.
  6. Have the vehicle professionally aligned. ICON VEHICLE DYNAMICS LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY ICON Vehicle Dynamics warrants to the original retail purchaser who owns the vehicle on which the product was originally installed.
