Features

  • Ride Height You Set: Threaded coilover bodies set the front ride height within the listed range, so the truck can be leveled or raised to suit its tires and load.
  • 2.5 Series Remote Reservoirs: Each coilover is built on ICON's 2.5 Series shock and carries a remote reservoir that adds oil and cooling for steady damping on long rough stretches.
  • Mounts in the Coil Buckets: The coilovers sit in the factory coil bucket location. On many trucks the centering cup inside the bucket has to be cut out first, and the notes for each truck say when.
  • FK Rod Ends, Rebuildable Shocks: FK rod end bearings keep deflection low and wear slowly, and the shocks can be fully rebuilt and revalved instead of replaced.
  • Stages Add Supporting Parts: Higher stages add parts such as an adjustable track bar, a steering stabilizer, fabricated radius arms, rear shocks and CDCV or CDEV valving. The In the Box row in Specifications lists each one.
  • Room for Larger Tires: ICON recommends a 35" or 37" tire for each system depending on its lift, and notes that bigger sizes can need fender trimming and other modifications.

Description & Fitment

Here is ICON's Stage 2 coilover conversion system sized for the 2008-2010 Ford F-250 Super Duty and F-350 Super Duty, on 4WD models. ICON documents rear VS 2.5 shocks, front VS 2.5 coilovers and adjustable track bar for this kit, each with its own sheet. It belongs to ICON's 4-5.5" lift setup. About ICON Vehicle Dynamics

ICON.

ICON Vehicle Dynamics designs and builds performance suspension for trucks and SUVs at its shop in Riverside, California. Engineering is led by Dylan Evans, its head engineer and a SCORE champion driver, and ICON tests its parts on the street, on the trail and under race conditions.

ICON's engineers begin with the result they want from a vehicle, then study the forces acting on it in motion, which is where the name Vehicle Dynamics comes from. Fabrication stays in ICON's own shop, from laser cutting and metal forming to CNC machining, welding and final assembly. ICON calls its suspension systems and shock absorbers the top choice for popular trucks and SUVs.

Authorized ICON Vehicle Dynamics dealer. Prestige Truck is an authorized ICON Vehicle Dynamics dealer, so every ICON part we sell is new and genuine. ICON's warranty is for the original retail buyer, on the vehicle the part was first installed on. Keep your Prestige Truck order receipt: we use it when we take a claim to ICON for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this fit my 2008-2010 Ford F-250 Super Duty?

It fits when your vehicle matches one of these rows: 2008-2010 Ford F-250 Super Duty (4WD; 4-5.5" lift); 2008-2010 Ford F-350 Super Duty (4-5.5" lift; 4WD). If you are unsure about your trim or drivetrain, send us your VIN and we will check it against ICON's application list before you order.

Is an alignment part of the install?

Yes. ICON's install sheet for K63122 calls for the vehicle to be aligned once the system is in. The sheet is linked in the Installation section below.

Can I adjust the ride height after installation?

Yes, within the listed range. Front ride height is set on the threaded coilover body, and ICON quotes the range for a stock-equipped truck, so bumpers, winches and other weight change where it settles.

Does the install require cutting?

On many of these trucks, yes. The coil centering cup inside the factory coil bucket has to come out before the coilover fits, and ICON recommends a professional shop for the job.

Which stage should I choose?

ICON aims the entry stage at road driving, towing and mild off-road use such as job sites and washboard gravel. Higher stages add a track bar, stabilizer, radius arms or adjustable valving for harder off-road driving; the In the Box row in Specifications shows what each adds.

Does it affect driver-assist systems?

Late-model Super Duty trucks need their driver-assist systems recalibrated after the install, along with a professional alignment.

What's involvedFor the front coilover conversion: the coils come out, the coil bucket centering cups are cut out with a reciprocating saw and ground flat, reservoir brackets are drilled and mounted, and bump stop spacers fittedrequires an alignment and a re-torque after 100 miles.

Here's the short version. Follow ICON's install sheet (below) for your vehicle's exact steps and torque values.

  1. Using a properly rated jack, raise the front of the vehicle and support the frame rails with jack stands. Ensure the jack stands are secure and set properly before lowering the jack. NEVER WORK UNDER AN UNSUPPORTED VEHICLE.
  2. Lower the front axle until the coils can be removed from vehicle.
  3. Using a transfer punch, mark the locations of all 3 holes in the reservoir bracket.
  4. Using the supplied 5/16" hardware, install the factory lines that were attached to the factory lower coil seat with a 1/2" socket/ wrench. [Torque to 24 ft-lbs]
  5. Remove the foam bump stop from the factory cup and remove the bolt holding the cup to the chassis with a 10mm socket/ wrench. Locate the billet bumpstop spacer (167011) and bolt (605804).
  6. Have the vehicle professionally aligned.

Warranty, shipping & returns

  • Warranty

ICON shocks and coilovers in this system carry ICON's 1-year shock warranty against manufacturer's defects, and ICON's other suspension components carry its Limited Lifetime Warranty.
    • Coverage belongs to the original retail buyer who owns the vehicle the parts were first installed on.
    • A shock that fails in its first year goes to ICON for inspection and service. If ICON finds the cause was neglect, poor installation or anything other than normal wear and tear, the owner pays for labor, parts and shipping.
    • ICON parts must go on as the complete kit shown in ICON's application guide. Swapping out or leaving off a required part voids the warranty.
    • ICON repairs or replaces a defective part, at its discretion. Removal, reinstallation, freight and incidental or consequential costs are not covered, and parts that wear in normal use are not treated as defective.
    • Not covered: finish (including finish marks from shipping), alterations or modifications, installation that departs from ICON's instructions, racing use, police, taxi, government or commercial vehicles, and sales outside the United States and Canada.
    • To claim, contact us first with your order number and a short description of the problem. We open the claim with ICON for you, and your Prestige Truck receipt is the proof of purchase ICON asks for.
