About ICON Vehicle Dynamics
ICON Vehicle Dynamics designs and builds performance suspension for trucks and SUVs at its shop in Riverside, California. Engineering is led by Dylan Evans, its head engineer and a SCORE champion driver, and ICON tests its parts on the street, on the trail and under race conditions.
ICON's engineers begin with the result they want from a vehicle, then study the forces acting on it in motion, which is where the name Vehicle Dynamics comes from. Fabrication stays in ICON's own shop, from laser cutting and metal forming to CNC machining, welding and final assembly. ICON calls its suspension systems and shock absorbers the top choice for popular trucks and SUVs.
Authorized ICON Vehicle Dynamics dealer. Prestige Truck is an authorized ICON Vehicle Dynamics dealer, so every ICON part we sell is new and genuine. ICON's warranty is for the original retail buyer, on the vehicle the part was first installed on. Keep your Prestige Truck order receipt: we use it when we take a claim to ICON for you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit my 2020-2023 Jeep Gladiator?
It fits when your vehicle matches one of these rows: 2020-2023 Jeep Gladiator (2.5-3" lift); 2018-2023 Jeep Wrangler (2.5-3" lift). If you are unsure about your trim or drivetrain, send us your VIN and we will check it against ICON's application list before you order.
Where are the install instructions?
Yes. ICON's install sheet for 22021 is linked in the Installation section below, with its steps condensed on this page. Use the sheet for the torque values.
Billet or tubular: which should I pick?
Both replace the factory links. Billet links are machined aluminum with an anodized finish; tubular links are DOM steel with a powder coat and a high-clearance shape. ICON offers both on several platforms, so choose the build you prefer.
Do adjustable links need setting up?
Yes. Adjustable links are set to length during the install, using ICON's measurements for your vehicle. A shop can do this when it aligns the vehicle.
Do the rod ends need greasing?
ICON uses PTFE-lined FK rod ends and greaseless multi durometer bushings on most kits. The Ram 2500/3500 tubular links are the exception: ICON says their dual stage bushings can be greased.
What warranty applies?
ICON's published limited warranty applies to its link kits, for the original buyer and the vehicle they were first installed on. Contact us first for a claim and we will open it with ICON.
Installation
- Torque Wrench
- 15mm Socket / Wrench
- 21mm Socket / Wrench
- 24mm Socket / Wrench
Here's the short version. Follow ICON's install sheet (below) for your vehicle's exact steps and torque values.
- Place the vehicle on a smooth, level surface. Ensure that the vehicle is in PARK, engage the emergency brake, and chock the tires before performing any work to the vehicle.
- Remove the brake line bracket from the front lower links using a 15mm socket/wrench.
- Remove the factory front lower link from one side of the vehicle using a 21mm and a 24mm.
- Install the ICON front lower link using a 21mm and 24mm and the factory hardware. The bend goes to the inside for tire clearance and should be closer to the differential. [Torque to factory spec]
- Fasten the brake line bracket to the link using the factory hardware. [Torque to factory spec]
