Here is ICON's rear performance coil spring kit sized for the 2014-2026 Ram 2500. ICON calls it a performance coil kit, a replacement for the factory rear springs. The added height helps on trails and makes space for a larger tire. Options: 2" lift (214202) or 0.5" lift (214206).

Dual rate or triple rate: what is the difference?

Both start soft and firm up as the spring compresses. A triple rate spring adds a third stage, so the change in feel is more gradual. ICON chooses the design for each vehicle, and the part title names it.

Do I need new shocks with these springs?

ICON designs these springs as part of its suspension systems. Check the fitment notes for your part, and match the shocks to the lift height you choose.

Will I need an alignment?

Lifting the front of a vehicle changes its alignment, and ICON calls for an alignment after many of its front spring installs. The Installation section of each part shows what ICON asks for.

What warranty applies?

ICON's published limited warranty applies to its coil springs, for the original buyer and the vehicle they were first installed on. Contact us first for a claim and we will open it with ICON.

What's involvedThe rear track bar, sway bar links and shocks are disconnected and the axle lowered to remove the coils and bump stopsthe performance springs go in with new sway bar link hardware, and everything is re-torqued after a short drive.

Here's the short version. Follow ICON's install sheet (below) for your vehicle's exact steps and torque values. These steps are for part 214202; the other parts on this page install from their own ICON sheet below.

  1. Disconnect the rear track bar from the differential using a 21mm socket/wrench.
  2. Disconnect the rear sway bar links from the sway bar and differential. Remove using an 8mm and 18mm socket/wrench.
  3. Lower the jack slowly until the coils become loose then remove the coils and upper coil isolators.
  4. Remove the rear bumpstops from the frame using a 16mm socket/wrench.
  5. Install the sway bar links using the supplied (605835) hardware. Tighten using an 18mm socket/wrench. [Torque to 65 ft-lbs]
  6. Check the torque on all hardware. Drive the truck 1-2 miles and re-torque all nuts, bolts and lugs.

    • Coverage belongs to the original retail buyer who owns the vehicle the part was first installed on.
    • ICON parts must go on as the complete kit shown in ICON's application guide. Swapping out or leaving off a required part voids the warranty.
    • ICON repairs or replaces a defective part, at its discretion. Removal, reinstallation, freight and incidental or consequential costs are not covered, and parts that wear in normal use are not treated as defective.
    • Not covered: finish (including finish marks from shipping), alterations or modifications, installation that departs from ICON's instructions, racing use, police, taxi, government or commercial vehicles, and sales outside the United States and Canada.
