Rated for 400 lb
Extruded aluminum channels reinforce every panel, so the closed cover supports up to 400 lb spread evenly across its top while the cover itself weighs only about 40 to 50 lb. Keep heavy items from bearing on a single point, since the rating assumes an even load.

Two Latches, One Pull Cord
LOMAX's Automatic Dual Locking System releases both latches with one pull of a synthetic cord, and the cord works from either side of the bed. Heavy-duty nylon latches engage the rails with a 1/2" face.

Locks at Ten Points Automatically
Unfolding each panel latches the cover down at ten points using heavy-duty reinforced nylon parts, so closing the cover and locking it are the same motion.

Sheds Water Without Drains
A water-shedding design, hinges made to keep water out of the fold lines and a seal that runs unbroken down both side rails turn water away from the box. The cover overlaps the bed rails, and there are no gutters or drain tubes to route or keep clear.

Clamp-On TIGHT BITE Mounting

Folds Up or Lifts Off
Retractable storage clips hold the folded panels, and vinyl-capped standoffs keep them spaced apart. To free the whole bed, fasten the clips, pull the cords on the front panel, slide the cover back off its hooks and lift it away; it goes back on by sliding forward onto the same hooks.

Warranty, Shipping & Returns

Warranty. Agri-Cover gives the LOMAX Hard Tri-Fold a 3-year limited warranty, counted from when you receive it or from its manufacture date, covering faulty workmanship when the cover is used normally on the truck it was made to fit. Its only obligation is to repair or replace defective parts, at its option, and no labor or service allowance is given. Damage from accidents, abuse, misuse, alteration, neglect, improper installation and ordinary wear is not covered. Claims start with Agri-Cover's claim form or customer service; anything sent back needs a return authorization number first, and Agri-Cover pays the freight to send repaired goods back. Shipping. The carrier and ship method are set by the size and weight of the carton when the order is placed. Inspect on delivery. Open the carton when it arrives and check the cover assembly, side rails, clamps, front seal and black sealant against the component list on page 2 of the installation manual before you start. Note any visible carton damage on the delivery receipt and photograph it.

Rain is shed off the closed panels and over the sides, where the cover overlaps the bed rails and a seal runs the full length of each rail. Hinges made to keep water out of the fold lines mean there are no drain tubes to install or keep clear. LOMAX describes the design as water-shedding rather than waterproof.

Straight answers on specs, fit and support

Is the LOMAX Hard Tri-Fold waterproof?

LOMAX calls it water-shedding, not waterproof. Sealed hinges, a seal along the full length of each side rail and panels that overlap the bed rails keep most rain and snow out, but a little water can still find its way in, so keep anything that must stay dry in a closed container. Level side rails, the included front seal and black sealant on factory holes and stake pockets all help.

Why is a little water getting in after install?

Check that both side rails sit level and that the front seal is in place with its tall side toward the cab. The manual also has you seal factory holes, crevices and stake pockets with the included black sealant, and it asks that the cover stay closed for at least 48 hours after installation so it can conform to the box.

Do I have to drill my truck to install it?

Not on most trucks. TIGHT BITE clamps hold the side rails to the box, and on a few beds (deck rail and RamBox cargo rail systems, the Ridgeline, the 2024-on Tacoma) LOMAX's own instructions bolt the rails on with special brackets instead, still without drilling. The exception is the GMC CarbonPro box, whose instructions add a 1/4" hole drilled through the bed cap at each bolt location. The Installation tab for each part says what its truck needs.

How much weight can the closed cover hold?

Up to 400 lb spread evenly across the panels, thanks to extruded aluminum channels under each one. Avoid loads that press on a single point.

Which finish should I choose?

All four finishes share the same 400 lb rating, locking and seals, so it is a question of looks. Urethane Aluminum is plain black urethane, Urethane Diamond Plate has a black diamond-plate pattern, Urethane Carbon Fiber is clear-coated carbon fiber, and Urethane FRP is offered on this line only. Each finish has its own part number.

Will it work with a drop-in bed liner?

Yes, with some trimming. LOMAX's manual says an under-the-rail drop-in liner needs minimal modification at the front corners and by the tailgate, while an over-the-rail drop-in liner needs considerable modification.
