The Retrax IX is a manual retractable tonneau cover for owners who want a hard cover that sits flush with the bed rails and keeps a low profile. It clamps on with no cutting, trimming or drilling. Features

Retracts Into a Cab-End Canister
When you slide the cover open, the slats coil into an aluminum spiral canister mounted at the bulkhead, where they stay housed and protected. Nearly the entire bed is exposed, so tall or long cargo goes in without removing anything from the truck.

Hidden Quick-Release on the Driver Side

Retrax rates this a Level 1 job and puts it under an hour. The rails clamp to the bed rails with the hardware in the box, so nothing is cut, trimmed or drilled. One standard install sheet covers the series. Retrax also asks you to check every clamp for tightness after a week of driving, then periodically after that.

Warranty, Shipping & Returns

Warranty. Retrax covers the IX for two years from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship, for the original buyer only, so hold on to your receipt. Damage from accidents, neglect, unforeseeable use, incorrect installation or servicing is excluded, as is any cover that has been cleaned with harsh chemicals, had its rails or sealed bearings lubricated, been driven with unsecured cargo or been left on a truck towed from the rear. Approved claims are repaired or replaced at the manufacturer's discretion once a return authorization number has been issued. You cover the freight on a repaired or replaced unit, and no charge is made for the repair work itself.

Free shipping. This item ships free to the lower 48 states. Because it is an oversized item, it ships by freight or oversized parcel and typically arrives in 3 to 7 business days.

About Retrax

Retrax builds retractable truck bed covers. Instead of folding onto the bed or rolling up at the cab, the IX is a run of aluminum slats that slides along rails and coils into a canister at the bulkhead, which is what lets it sit flush and clear the bed when open.

The Retrax IX is assembled in North Dakota from global materials. Manual models sold alongside it include the RetraxONE MX, RetraxONE XR, RetraxPRO MX, RetraxPRO XR and the RetraxPRO FRC-4000 EZ-OFF. The XR and EZ-OFF names call out T-slot rails, which the IX does not list.

Care on the IX is set by the warranty conditions rather than by a maintenance schedule. Lubricating the rails or the sealed ball bearings voids it, as do strong chemicals or cleaners; Retrax asks for mild automotive soap and water. Coverage runs two years for the original purchaser and is not transferable.
