Rack-ready T-slot rails
Compact front canister
Clamps on, no rail drilling
Features
- MaxTrak T-slot rails: Roll-N-Lock's MaxTrak system builds two slim T-slot rails into the sides of the cover. Add crossbars (sold separately) and Roll-N-Lock says they accept most T-slot racks and accessories, so the cover can share the truck with bike, kayak or gear mounts. Crossbars and racks are not included.
- Dual-layer aluminum deck: Under the rails is the A-Series deck: two layers of aluminum slats joined by a patented hinge system, finished in a matte black powder coat that Roll-N-Lock says resists corrosion, UV fading and abrasion. There is no vinyl skin to wear.
- Locks with your tailgate: Twist the included key to lock the rear latch, and a cover over the key slot keeps out rain and snow. Once the cover is closed and locked, Roll-N-Lock's patented built-in tailgate locking system keeps a locking tailgate from being opened. Roll-N-Lock's sheets still note that no bed cover prevents theft outright.
- Rolls into a compact canister: A torsion-spring drive rolls the deck into a canister Roll-N-Lock lists at 7.25" deep, at the front of the bed. The integrated pull strap brings it back from outside the bed, and the ratchet-style latch holds it at three positions along the way.
- Drain tubes clear the canister: Hidden seals shed most weather, and two drain tubes carry water that gets past them from the canister to below the truck. Roll-N-Lock's sheets say the cover is not airtight, so keep the drains clear and treat it as weather-resistant, not waterproof.
- Clamps on, no rail drilling: The tracks clamp or bolt on with a truck-specific kit, and Roll-N-Lock notes that installation is the same for the standard and XT tracks. Most trucks still need a 1/2" hole for each drain tube, and a plastic drop-in bedliner has to be cut. Your truck's sheet shows each step.
Description & Fitment
The Roll-N-Lock A-Series XT (part 102A-XT) is an aluminum retractable tonneau cover with MaxTrak T-slot rails for the 6'7" bed on the 2015-2020 Ford F-150. Below the rails sits a dual-layer aluminum deck in a matte black powder coat. Crossbars and racks are sold separately and mount to the T-slot rails. The tracks clamp to the bed rails, the cover locks with your tailgate, and it carries Roll-N-Lock's 3-year limited warranty.
Fitment & Compatibility
| Years | Model | Bed | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2015-2020 | F-150 | 6'7" (78.9") | β |
Check your bed: measure along the bed rail from the bulkhead to the inside of the closed tailgate. This part is for the 6'7" bed on the 2015-2020 Ford F-150. Measured, that box is about 78.9" long.
Not for: any other truck or bed length; each part fits one truck and bed.
About Roll-N-Lock
Roll-N-Lock makes retractable tonneau covers that roll into a canister at the front of the bed, plus the Cargo Manager bed divider that rides in their tracks. Every cover is built for one truck and one bed length.
The range covers the manual M-Series (vinyl over aluminum slats) and A-Series, the electric E-Series (5-year warranty), XT versions with T-slot rails for crossbars and racks, and the Cargo Manager. The M-Series and A-Series carry a 3-year limited warranty. The A-Series XT adds the MaxTrak T-slot rails to the all-aluminum A-Series.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit my 2015-2020 F-150?
Yes, if it has the 6'7" bed, about 78.9" long. Measure along the bed rail from the bulkhead to the inside of the closed tailgate. If you're unsure, send us your VIN and we'll confirm.
Is there a version without the rails?
Yes. The plain A-Series for this truck and bed is BT102A: the same dual-layer aluminum retractable without the MaxTrak T-slot rails.
Are crossbars included?
No. The two MaxTrak T-slot rails are built into the cover, but crossbars and racks are sold separately. Roll-N-Lock says the rails accept most T-slot racks and accessories; tell us which rack you have and we'll check it with Roll-N-Lock before you order.
How is it different from the regular A-Series?
It's the same all-aluminum retractable, with the same 7.25" canister, keyed latch and tailgate lock, plus two MaxTrak T-slot rails along the sides. Roll-N-Lock's install sheets note that installation is the same for the standard track and the XT track.
Is it waterproof?
No, and Roll-N-Lock doesn't claim it is. Hidden seals shed rain and snow and drain tubes carry off water that gets past them, but Roll-N-Lock's sheets say the cover is not airtight and its warranty excludes water intrusion. Keep the drains and the canister clear of debris.
Is it safe to be in the bed with the cover closed?
No. Roll-N-Lock warns that the cover has no release inside the bed, so never let anyone ride or climb in the bed while it's closed. Don't put anything on top of the cover when opening or closing it, and use the pull strap only for opening and closing, never to climb in or out.
Installation
- Jig saw
- 1/2" drill bit
- Drill with Phillips head
- Phillips screwdriver
- 7/16" wrench
- Tape measure
- Utility knife
Here's the short version. Follow Roll-N-Lock's install sheet (below) for your truck's exact measurements, hardware and part letters.
- Prep the bed. If you have a plastic drop-in bedliner, take it out, cut it across the bulkhead and at the tailgate end to the sheet's measurements with a jig saw, drill the five 1/2" holes it marks and put it back (Super Duty trucks also trim the tailgate protector). Center the housing between the bed rails against the bulkhead and lift off its lid.
- Fit the tracks. Bolt a track angle to each thread tang and set it loosely in its hole. Turn the lock to 10 o'clock (leave the plastic wing nut on), seat both tracks on the housing stems, butted against the housing, and fix each one with a cargo nut and #10-24 screw.
- Clamp loosely and slide back. Loosely attach the bed clamps and the track angle to the pre-installed track clamps with the 5/16" cap screws and lock washers (Super Duty adds a flat washer). Close the tailgate and slide the housing back until the track ends touch it. On a Super Duty, notch the tailgate lip 3/4" at each end.
- Set the spacing and tighten. Use the cargo shield notches to set the inside track-to-track width, leave 1/8" between the track end caps and the tailgate, and square the tracks with the shims if needed. Tighten the back clamp to 70 in-lb (8 Nm) and the bed clamps to 62 in-lb (7 Nm) with the 1/4" Allen wrench, without over-tightening.
- Close it and refit the lid. Turn the lock to 7 o'clock, take off the plastic wing nut and throw it away, then pull the cover back to the tailgate with both hands. Set the lid back on the housing and fit its two lid screws, then peel the backing off the cargo shield and screw it to the bottom of the housing with the black rubber washers.
- Run the drains and strap. Drill a 1/2" hole through the plug at the bulkhead on each side (never into the cab), feed each drain tube through toward the ground and onto the housing fitting, clear of the cab vents, and treat the holes against rust. Clip the pull strap to a rear tie-down near the tailgate.

- Claims: Roll-N-Lock issues a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number before anything is returned, and may ask for the defective part back, packaged and shipped at your expense, with the product ID and a short description of the problem.
- Not covered: improper installation; use below -30Β°F or above 120Β°F; water intrusion, including leaks from normal use; misuse, modification or tampering; improper maintenance; use outside the product specifications; normal wear, cosmetic damage or finish fading from sun or chemicals; negligence; accidents, flood, fire and other acts of God; parts not made by Roll-N-Lock.
