Features
- Opens from the key fob: Two wireless remotes come in the box. Press the large button and the motor runs the cover open or closed; press it again and the cover stops. Roll-N-Lock's install guide says it also stops on its own when it reaches the tailgate or the canister.
- Motor-driven, locks anywhere on the track: An electric motor at the canister moves the deck, so there's no latch to reach or strap to pull. Roll-N-Lock says the cover locks in any position along the tracks, and describes an auto-stop that halts the motor when it senses cargo in the way; keep hands and gear clear while it runs all the same. A manual override cable is included for when the remote can't run it.
- LED cargo light: An integrated LED cargo light is wired in with the motor. The small left button on the remote switches it on and off, and Roll-N-Lock's guide says it turns itself off after three minutes.
- Dual-layer aluminum deck, matte black: The deck is double-layer aluminum slats in a matte black powder coat that Roll-N-Lock says resists corrosion, UV and abrasion, joined by patented hinges that close the seams against weather and prying. It rolls into a canister Roll-N-Lock lists at 7.25" deep, so most of the bed stays usable.
- Drain tubes clear the canister: Water that gets past the seals is carried out of the bed by two drain tubes from the canister fittings to below the truck. Roll-N-Lock's sheets say the cover is not airtight and its warranty excludes water intrusion, so keep the canister and drains clear of leaves and twigs.
- Clamps on, wires to battery: The tracks mount with a truck-specific kit, and a fused power wire runs under the truck to the battery, tied to an existing wiring harness with the supplied zip ties. Expect to drill holes for the drain tubes and the power wire; your truck's sheet shows where.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit my 2019-2027 Ram 1500?
Yes, if it has the 6'4" bed, about 76.3" long. Measure along the bed rail from the bulkhead to the inside of the closed tailgate. It won't fit a truck with the RamBox cargo-management system or the Multifunction (split swing-gate) tailgate. If you're unsure, send us your VIN and we'll confirm.
Is there a version with T-slot rails?
Yes. The E-Series XT for this truck and bed is 402E-XT: the same electric cover with two MaxTrak T-slot rails for crossbars (sold separately).
How does the E-Series get power?
From your truck's battery. The kit includes a power wire with an inline fuse holder; Roll-N-Lock's sheet routes it under the truck along an existing wiring harness, secures it with the supplied zip ties, and connects it to the battery's positive and negative terminals. The cover's motor and light plug into that wire at the canister.
What if the remote stops working or the battery is dead?
Use the manual override. Roll-N-Lock includes an override cable that mounts on the passenger-side track; pull the lever and turn it to lock it out, and the cover can be moved by hand. Unlock the lever and push it back to lock the cover again. If the cover won't run at all, Roll-N-Lock's first troubleshooting check is the connection at the battery.
Is the E-Series waterproof?
No, and Roll-N-Lock doesn't claim it is. The hinges and seals shed rain and snow, and two drain tubes carry water that gets past them out of the bed, but Roll-N-Lock's sheets say the cover is not airtight and its warranty excludes water intrusion. Keep the canister and drain tubes clear of debris.
Is it safe to be in the bed with the cover closed?
No. Never let children or pets in the bed while the cover is closed, and keep hands clear of the cover and canister while it moves. Don't put anything on top of the cover or tie cargo to its frame, and don't drive with objects on top of it.

Warranty
Roll-N-Lock warrants the E-Series against defects in materials and workmanship for five (5) years from the original date of purchase.- A defective cover or hardware part is repaired or replaced at Roll-N-Lock's option, and Roll-N-Lock may substitute a newer model of similar form and function. Labor to remove or reinstall the cover is not covered.
- It covers the original purchaser only and is not transferable. It ends if the cover is moved to another vehicle or the truck changes owners. Keep your proof of purchase; contact us for help with registration or a claim.
- To keep it valid: clean with mild automotive soap and water only, no strong chemicals; never lubricate the rails or tracks with silicone or petroleum products; keep cargo, the cover and the tether strap secured while driving; check every clamp and mount for tightness after the first week and now and then after that; clear snow and ice off before opening; take the cover off before the truck is towed from the rear.
- Claims: Roll-N-Lock issues a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number before anything is returned, and may ask for the original part back, shipped prepaid, for a final decision. Contact us first and we will start the claim with Roll-N-Lock.
- Not covered: damage from an accident, neglect, improper installation or servicing; use below -30Β°F or above 120Β°F; water intrusion, including leaks from normal use; misuse, modification or tampering; normal wear, cosmetic damage or finish fading from sun or chemicals; acts of God; parts not made by Roll-N-Lock.
