  • Factory controls intact: TeraFlex says stability controls stay in spec.
  • Three versions: With 9550 VSS shocks, with shock extensions, or neither.

Description & Fitment

The TeraFlex 2.5" Performance Spacer Lift Kit is TeraFlex's most economical way to fit larger tires and gain ground clearance on a 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK or JK Unlimited. It includes TeraFlex's spring retention spacer, which keeps the coil from dropping out during extreme articulation, and TeraFlex says the geometry keeps factory stability controls working as Jeep intended. Choose it with 9550 VSS Twin-Tube shocks, with shock extensions, or with neither. Wheels need 4.75" or less backspacing (or 1055000 adapters); caster correction is recommended but not included.

About TeraFlex

TERAFLEX.

TeraFlex describes itself as a Jeep company at heart, started and staffed by people who drive them. It designs, engineers and builds suspension systems, shocks, axles and performance parts, with the Wrangler and Gladiator at the center of the range.

The company traces its roots to the 1950s and MEPCO (Military Equipment Parts Company), an early supplier of Jeep parts. TeraFlex Manufacturing followed in 1996 to build heavy-duty suspension for the TJ Wrangler, and today's catalog runs from full lift systems and the Falcon shock line to axles, steering and armor.

Authorized TeraFlex dealer. Prestige Truck is an authorized TeraFlex dealer, so what we sell is new and genuine TeraFlex. In TeraFlex's words, its limited warranty extends "only to the consumer who originally purchased the product," so keep your receipt with your build records.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need longer shocks?

Yes, unless you choose the shock version. TeraFlex says the kit needs longer shocks or shock extensions (front upper 1553800, rear upper 1554800); 1355210 includes extensions.

Anything special on 2012-2018 JKs?

If the extended front shock length is over 24.5", TeraFlex says 2012-2018 JKs need exhaust spacers (2610000) or another exhaust change for driveshaft clearance.

How long does install take?

TeraFlex estimates about 4 hours.

What warranty does TeraFlex give?

TeraFlex covers its 9550 shocks for life against defects in materials and workmanship, and paint and powder coat finishes for 90 days. For spacer lift kits, stabilizers and mounting brackets, contact us and we'll confirm the term before you order.

How quickly does it ship?

Shipping is free to the lower 48 states, and most orders arrive within 1-5 business days. We email your tracking number as soon as it ships.

Can you confirm it's the right part before I order?

Yes. Contact us with your VIN or year, model and lift height, and we'll check it against TeraFlex's fitment information before it ships.

Installation

Install time 4 hours
What's involvedRemove the track bars, shocks, sway bar links and springs and drill a 3/8" hole for the rear track bar drop bracket, then fit the spacers, bump stop extensions, brake line brackets and new links. Torque the arms and track bars on the ground.
Tools
  • Metric sockets
  • Wrenches (10, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 21mm)
  • SAE sockets
  • Wrenches (7/16", 5/8" and 3/4")
  • Drive ratchets (3/8" and 1/2")
  • Extensions (3", 6" and 12")
  • Torque wrench (ft-lbs)

Here's the short version. Follow TeraFlex's install sheet (below) for your Jeep's exact steps and torque values.

  1. Remove both track bars (21mm) and loosen, but do not remove, all control arm bolts (21mm); raise the Jeep on jack stands under the frame so the axles can drop far enough for the springs, and remove the wheels.
  2. Rear: support the axle with a jack, remove the shocks (18mm axle side, 16mm frame side) and sway bar links (18mm; keep them for the front), unbolt the brake line bracket at the frame (10mm; leave the lines on the calipers), remove the park brake cable bracket, and lower the axle carefully to take out the springs without stretching the brake lines, ABS wires or axle vent.
  3. Rear: mark and drill the 3/8" hole using the template, fit the track bar drop bracket with the 14mm bolt, washer, nut and supplied sleeve (outside bolt 45 ft-lbs, sleeved bolt 125 ft-lbs), and set the track bar in the new bracket without torquing it until the Jeep is on the ground.
  4. Rear: fit the factory isolator on the TeraFlex spacer and pop the spacer into the frame, reinstall the springs, mount the new sway bar links outboard (75 ft-lbs), bolt the bump stop spacers to the axle pads (5/16" hardware, overhang facing forward), install the shocks, and fit the brake line extension brackets flush with the frame (14 ft-lbs).
  5. Front: support the axle, remove the shocks (18mm axle side, 16mm frame side) and sway bar links, lower the axle and take out the springs, pull the yellow bump stops, fit the TeraFlex spacer under the factory isolator, grease and install the bump stop extensions and bump stops, and reinstall the springs, driver side first.
  6. Install the front shocks (with the upper adapters if your kit has them; 20 ft-lbs frame side, 56 ft-lbs axle side) and the former rear sway bar links (75 ft-lbs), refit the wheels (95-115 ft-lbs), lower the Jeep onto its weight, torque the upper control arm bolts to 75 ft-lbs and the lowers to 125 ft-lbs, install both track bars at 125 ft-lbs and center the steering wheel with the drag link adjuster sleeve.
