Description & Fitment
TeraFlex's 2" Alpine Rear Stretch Kit (4-Arm) moves the rear axle of a 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK up to 2" rearward. That centers the rear tires in the wheel opening, adds clearance and lengthens the wheelbase, which TeraFlex says helps when climbing. Rear Alpine mid arm stretch brackets and rear upper coil spring relocation brackets keep the springs vertical so they don't bow. The 2" is wheelbase stretch, not lift: lift coil springs and longer shocks are required and not included.

Does this lift my Jeep?
No. The 2" is how far the rear axle moves back. You still need lift coil springs and longer shocks, which are not included.
Is welding required?
Yes. TeraFlex lists cutting off the factory brackets and welding on the new mid arm and coil spring relocation brackets.
What wheels do I need?
TeraFlex calls for 4.75" backspacing or less, or its 1055000 offset wheel adapters with stock wheels.
What warranty does TeraFlex give?
TeraFlex covers its control arms, IR bushings, coil springs, bump stops and track bars for life against defects in materials and workmanship. Non-IR control arm and track bar bushings carry 1 year and finishes 90 days. For a claim, contact us with your order details.

Here's the short version. Follow TeraFlex's install sheet (below) for your Jeep's exact steps and torque values.
- Raise and support the rear, remove the wheels, disconnect the e-brake cables, unbolt and support the rear driveline, remove the shocks, lower the axle to pull the springs, and remove the brake line bracket and rear track bar.
- Trim the front ear of the frame-side track bar bracket with the template, remove the rear sway bar, cut the exhaust about 3" behind the resonator, cut off the track bar brace and hole-saw the spring perches (4") with the centering spacer. This kit requires exhaust modification.
- Weld on the extended bump stop striker pads, the track bar relocation bracket (tack with the track bar fitted, then weld) and the frame brace, then prime and paint all bare metal.
- Fit the new lower and upper control arms with the fixed end at the frame, stickers out, bolts finger tight (p6); refit the track bar with the bolts from the front and add the stud mount spacers to the drilled outer shock tabs (nut 40 ft-lbs).
- Bolt in the spring perch relocation brackets with red thread locker, cycle the suspension to check shock clearance, fit the springs and retainers, then relocate the sway bar into new 17/32" holes with the nutserts and torque it to 45 ft-lbs (p8).
- With the Jeep on the ground, torque the control arms and track bar to 125 ft-lbs and the pinch clamps to 40 ft-lbs, have an exhaust shop finish the exhaust, get a 4-wheel alignment, and re-torque after 100 miles and every 3,000.

TeraFlex covers the control arms, IR bushings, coil springs, bump stops, track bars and sway bar parts in these systems for life against defects in materials and workmanship. Alpine control arm and track bar bushings other than IR carry 1 year, and paint and powder coat finishes 90 days (defects only).- TeraFlex extends its limited warranty only to the consumer who first bought the product, and only on the vehicle the part was first installed on. It does not pass to a later owner.
- Coverage starts on the purchase date and does not restart if a part is repaired or replaced.
- For a covered defect, TeraFlex will either repair or replace the product (or the faulty part) free of charge or refund the purchase price, at its discretion, and it pays the freight to send a repaired or replacement part back to you.
- Not covered: damage from transportation, storage, improper use, skipped instructions or preventive maintenance, modifications, unauthorized repair, normal wear and tear, product finish, improper installation or maintenance, racing or competition, or accidents, abuse and neglect. Improper installation, poor maintenance, racing or competition use, and neglect or abuse void the warranty.
- Paint and powder coat finishes carry 90 days of defect coverage only, not wear from use.
- Claims: contact us first. Keep your proof of purchase or original invoice; removing the part from the vehicle and the inbound shipping are the owner's responsibility.

Inspect on delivery
A lift system arrives in several boxes. Match every box and hardware pack to the part lists in the TeraFlex instructions before you start, and contact us right away about anything missing or damaged. Check it as soon as it arrives.- Look for crushed ends, punctures or tears in the carton.
- If something looks wrong, take photos of the box and the parts (and if a driver asks you to sign, note the damage on the receipt).
