Description & Fitment
This is the 4-door version of TeraFlex's 3" Alpine CT3 Outback Overland Short Arm Suspension System, for the 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited. What sets the Outback Overland apart is a set of load-enhanced, heavy-duty rate coil springs meant to hold ride height with a full load of gear. Adjustable Alpine Short Control Arms, HD forged adjustable track bars front and rear and a rear track bar bracket handle the geometry. It gives 3" of lift, clears tires up to 35" and ships without shocks.

About TeraFlex
TeraFlex describes itself as a Jeep company at heart, started and staffed by people who drive them. It designs, engineers and builds suspension systems, shocks, axles and performance parts, with the Wrangler and Gladiator at the center of the range.
The company traces its roots to the 1950s and MEPCO (Military Equipment Parts Company), an early supplier of Jeep parts. TeraFlex Manufacturing followed in 1996 to build heavy-duty suspension for the TJ Wrangler, and today's catalog runs from full lift systems and the Falcon shock line to axles, steering and armor.
Authorized TeraFlex dealer. Prestige Truck is an authorized TeraFlex dealer, so what we sell is new and genuine TeraFlex. In TeraFlex's words, its limited warranty extends "only to the consumer who originally purchased the product," so keep your receipt with your build records.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit a 2-door JK?
No. It is the 4-door JK Unlimited system. The 2-door version is part 1167202.
Do I need different wheels?
TeraFlex calls for wheels with 4.75" backspacing or less, or its 1055000 offset wheel adapters with stock wheels.
Anything else to plan for?
Shocks are extra. 2007-2011 models need TeraFlex's 26" front brake line kit (4353310), some Jeeps need driveshaft work, cutting is required and so is an alignment.
What warranty does TeraFlex give?
TeraFlex covers its control arms, IR bushings, coil springs, bump stops and track bars for life against defects in materials and workmanship. Non-IR control arm and track bar bushings carry 1 year and finishes 90 days. For a claim, contact us with your order details.
How quickly does it ship?
Shipping is free to the lower 48 states, and most orders arrive within 1-5 business days. We email your tracking number as soon as it ships.
Can you confirm it's right for my Jeep before I order?
Yes. Contact us with your VIN or year, model and trim, plus your current lift, and we'll check it against TeraFlex's fitment information before it ships.
Installation
- 1/4" and 1/2" ratchets
- 1/4" drive sockets: 5/16", 10mm, 7/16"
- 1/2" drive sockets and swivel sockets: 18mm, 21mm, 3/4"
- 12" extension
- 3/16" and 5mm Allen wrenches
Here's the short version. Follow TeraFlex's install sheet (below) for your Jeep's exact steps and torque values.
- Lift the Jeep by the frame, remove the wheels, support the front axle, loosen (do not remove) all control arm bolts, remove the exhaust skid plate/cross member (not reused), front driveline at the axle and sway bar links, free the ABS lines and breather tube, then lower the axle and remove the springs.
- Fit the new front springs driver side first, rotating each until fully seated, and add the speedbumps or bump stop extensions your kit includes per their TeraFlex instructions.
- Install the front shocks (top nut 20 ft-lbs, lower bolt loose for the brake line anchor), the quick disconnect sway bar links (75 ft-lbs), the kit's front control arms and track bar, then the brake line anchors and the front driveline with thread locker at 15 ft-lbs (p6-p7).
- Loosen the Y-pipe clamp, chisel off the intermediate pipe's indexing stop, and fit the exhaust flange spacers (longer one on the passenger side) with the supplied bolts, checking alignment and clearance.
- Rear: support the axle, remove the shocks, track bar, sway bar links and driveline at the axle, free the breather and ABS lines, then fit the springs and upper and lower spring retainers (30 ft-lbs and 50 ft-lbs, p10), the kit's rear arms, the track bar bracket on its U-bolts (p11), bump stops and sway bar links at 75 ft-lbs (p12).
- With the Jeep at ride height torque all suspension and track bar bolts, check every component, center the steering with the drag link, and re-torque after the first 500 miles and every 3,000.

Warranty
TeraFlex covers the control arms, IR bushings, coil springs, bump stops, track bars and sway bar parts in these systems for life against defects in materials and workmanship. Alpine control arm and track bar bushings other than IR carry 1 year, and paint and powder coat finishes 90 days (defects only).- TeraFlex extends its limited warranty only to the consumer who first bought the product, and only on the vehicle the part was first installed on. It does not pass to a later owner.
- Coverage starts on the purchase date and does not restart if a part is repaired or replaced.
- For a covered defect, TeraFlex will either repair or replace the product (or the faulty part) free of charge or refund the purchase price, at its discretion, and it pays the freight to send a repaired or replacement part back to you.
- Not covered: damage from transportation, storage, improper use, skipped instructions or preventive maintenance, modifications, unauthorized repair, normal wear and tear, product finish, improper installation or maintenance, racing or competition, or accidents, abuse and neglect. Improper installation, poor maintenance, racing or competition use, and neglect or abuse void the warranty.
- Paint and powder coat finishes carry 90 days of defect coverage only, not wear from use.
- Claims: contact us first. Keep your proof of purchase or original invoice; removing the part from the vehicle and the inbound shipping are the owner's responsibility.
