This TeraFlex Dana 30/44 High Steer System with HD Forged Drag Link Flip Kit (no tie rods) fixes front-end steering on a 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK or JK Unlimited with a 4"-6" lift. It packs the High Steer Knuckle Pair (4390870), HD Forged Drag Link Flip Kit (1853930), Front Upper Track Bar Drop Bracket & Frame Brace Kit (1600444) and Steering Stabilizer Relocation Kit (1123160). The flipped drag link, 50% stiffer than factory per TeraFlex, mounts on top of the knuckle; the drop bracket corrects track bar angle and the braces stiffen the frame against shimmy. Add the HD Chromoly Tie Rod Kit (1853910) separately.

Here's the short version. Follow TeraFlex's install sheet (below) for your Jeep's exact steps and torque values.
- Lift the Jeep, support the frame on jack stands and remove the front wheels; unbolt the track bar at both ends (21mm) and free the drag link at the knuckle by loosening the 21mm castle nut and striking the knuckle face to break the taper (premium kit: also at the pitman arm). The kit needs 4"-6" of lift and welding (p1).
- Remove the two lower steering box bolts (18mm), bolt on the drop bracket and mark it for welding; set the brace bar's fixed end in the factory track bar mount, bend up, then loosely fit the frame-side bracket and mark it against the frame (p4).
- Remove the brackets, clean them and the frame to bare metal, refit them, fit the 1/2" button-head bolt from inside the factory bracket at 65 ft-lbs and the steering box bolts at 87 ft-lbs, and cut off the exposed bolt end; with the brace bar out, weld both brackets flush, then clean, prime and paint (p5).
- Refit the brace (3.5" bolt at the drop bracket, 3" bolt at the frame bracket), drill the knuckle straight with a 13/16" bit and tap the new taper sleeve in from the top.
- Fit the flipped drag link (41" eye to eye is a good starting length): pitman arm end lock nut at 77 ft-lbs (105 Nm), knuckle end at 65 ft-lbs with a lock washer spacer on flip-end kits only; then fit the track bar in the frame bracket hole that sets it parallel to the drag link and torque both ends to 125 ft-lbs (p6).
- Refit the wheels at 95-115 ft-lbs, lower the Jeep, center the axle with the track bar, set the steering wheel with the drag link sleeve (sleeve bolts 26 ft-lbs) after a test drive, get a full alignment, and re-torque the ball joints after 200 miles (p5).

TeraFlex covers ball joints, tie rods, tie rod ends and drag links for life against defects in materials and workmanship, and paint and powder coat finishes for 90 days (defects only).- TeraFlex extends its limited warranty only to the consumer who first bought the product, and only on the vehicle the part was first installed on. It does not pass to a later owner.
- Coverage starts on the purchase date and does not restart if a part is repaired or replaced.
- For a covered defect, TeraFlex will either repair or replace the product (or the faulty part) free of charge or refund the purchase price, at its discretion, and it pays the freight to send a repaired or replacement part back to you.
- Not covered: damage from transportation, storage, improper use, skipped instructions or preventive maintenance, modifications, unauthorized repair, normal wear and tear, product finish, improper installation or maintenance, racing or competition, or accidents, abuse and neglect. Improper installation, poor maintenance, racing or competition use, and neglect or abuse void the warranty.
- Paint and powder coat finishes carry 90 days of defect coverage only, not wear from use.
