Features

  • Made for 2-door JK lifts: Sized for the rear of a 2007-2011 2-door JK on a 3"-6" lift.
  • Rzeppa CV at high angles: The Rzeppa joint and high-angle boot handle steep driveline angles.
  • Strength at steep angles: TeraFlex says a Rzeppa CV joint keeps far more strength at high angles than a U-joint.
  • Laser-welded steel tube: 2-3/8" carbon steel tubing, laser welded per TeraFlex.
  • No balance weights: Zeroed in final assembly for a true-running shaft, TeraFlex says, so it needs no weights.
  • About an hour to fit: TeraFlex estimates 1 hour of labor; sheet 999362 covers JK driveline replacement.

Description & Fitment

The TeraFlex High-Angle Rzeppa CV Driveshaft 4607302 is the rear shaft for a 2007-2011 2-door JK Wrangler lifted 3"-6". It runs a Rzeppa CV joint with a high-angle boot, which TeraFlex says keeps its strength at angles where a U-joint shaft would weaken. Plan on a TeraFlex High-Angle Rzeppa CV yoke for the transfer case end.

About TeraFlex

TERAFLEX.

TeraFlex describes itself as a Jeep company at heart, started and staffed by people who drive them. It designs, engineers and builds suspension systems, shocks, axles and performance parts, with the Wrangler and Gladiator at the center of the range.

The company traces its roots to the 1950s and MEPCO (Military Equipment Parts Company), an early supplier of Jeep parts. TeraFlex Manufacturing followed in 1996 to build heavy-duty suspension for the TJ Wrangler, and today's catalog runs from full lift systems and the Falcon shock line to axles, steering and armor.

Authorized TeraFlex dealer. Prestige Truck is an authorized TeraFlex dealer, so what we sell is new and genuine TeraFlex. In TeraFlex's words, its limited warranty extends "only to the consumer who originally purchased the product," so keep your receipt with your build records.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference from 4607322?

4607322 is TeraFlex's 2" rear stretch version for the same 2007-2011 2-door JK and lift range. 4607302 is the standard-length rear shaft.

Does it fit a 4-door?

No. TeraFlex lists 4607301 for the 2007-2011 4-door.

How do I pick the right part number?

Each listing names the position, door count, transfer case and lift range TeraFlex lists for that part number. Match it to your Jeep and current setup, or send us your VIN and build details and we'll check before you order.

Who should install it?

TeraFlex recommends a certified mechanic. Follow the TeraFlex instructions for the part, and take any torque values from those instructions or your service manual.

What if it arrives damaged?

Check the packaging and the part before you sign, note any damage on the delivery receipt, and contact us right away. We will sort out a replacement with you.

Is this genuine TeraFlex?

Yes. We are an authorized TeraFlex dealer, so every part ships new and genuine.

What's involvedUnbolt the stock driveshaft at the axle and transfer case and chisel it free, then bolt in the CV driveshaft at the transfer case first and then the axle, torquing the hex bolts evenly to 15 ft-lbs. Re-torque after 100 miles.

  • Open end wrenches
  • Factory service manual
  • Torque wrench
  • General mechanics tools

Here's the short version. Follow TeraFlex's install sheet (below) for your Jeep's exact steps and torque values.

  1. Unbolt the front and/or rear stock driveline at the axle, then at the transfer case.
  2. If you are fitting a TeraFlex front driveline, change the yokes now using TeraFlex's Rzeppa yoke replacement instructions (#999214).
  3. Use a hammer and chisel to free and remove the OEM driveline.
  4. Install the TeraFlex driveline at the transfer case first, with the boot at the transfer case end.
  5. Bolt it up at the axle, then tighten the hex bolts with the provided 6mm hex socket evenly in a criss-cross pattern, in small increments, to 15 ft-lbs.
  6. Re-torque all driveline bolts after the first 100 miles and every 3,000 miles, and check for grease leaks and CV boot damage.
