Description & Fitment
The TeraFlex LCG Long Control Arm & Bracket Kit, Lower, is the long-wheelbase version for the 2004-2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited LJ with 3"-5" of lift. It replaces the short lower arms with adjustable long arms built from 1.75" x 0.25" wall DOM tube and includes the lower LCG frame brackets, made from 1/4" laser-cut steel, which return the frame-end mounts to near-factory angles. TeraFlex treats it as the foundation for its Enduro LCG and Pro LCG long arm systems. Installation means an alignment, cutting off the factory control arm brackets, and welding.

No. This is the LJ Unlimited kit. The TJ short-wheelbase lower kit is 1447700.
Do I need this for the Pro LCG upper kits?
Yes. TeraFlex says the Front Upper (1443470) and Rear Upper (1444880 for the LJ) Pro LCG kits require a Lower LCG kit.
Is welding required?
Yes. The factory control arm brackets are cut off, the new frame brackets are welded, and an alignment follows.

Installation
Here's the short version. Follow TeraFlex's install sheet (below) for your Jeep's exact steps and torque values.
- Lift the TJ onto jack stands, remove any factory side steps, and remove the front and rear lower control arms on the passenger side only so the axle stays located.
- Grind the welds off the passenger lower arm mounts, chisel them free, buff and paint the area, then support the transmission and transfer case and remove the transfer case skid plate.
- Use the TeraFlex BellyUp skid plate or trim the factory skid plate for the bracket and rear lower arms, checking clearance through full arm travel.
- Fit the long arm bracket on the skid plate bolts and tack weld both sides, connect the front and rear lower FlexArms to the bracket and axle with the stock bolts (about 32.5" front and 32" rear on a 4" TeraFlex lift, rear set for pinion angle), then repeat on the driver side.
- Remove the skid plate bolts under each bracket (the tack welds hold it), refit and tighten the skid plate, check every bolt, and add 1/2" stitch welds to secure the brackets permanently.
- Have the alignment checked by a 4WD-experienced shop, keeping factory caster and setting toe-in.

TeraFlex covers its control arms and IR bushings for life against defects in materials and workmanship. Alpine control arm bushings other than IR carry 1 year, and paint and powder coat finishes 90 days (defects only).- TeraFlex extends its limited warranty only to the consumer who first bought the product, and only on the vehicle the part was first installed on. It does not pass to a later owner.
- Coverage starts on the purchase date and does not restart if a part is repaired or replaced.
- For a covered defect, TeraFlex will either repair or replace the product (or the faulty part) free of charge or refund the purchase price, at its discretion, and it pays the freight to send a repaired or replacement part back to you.
- Not covered: damage from transportation, storage, improper use, skipped instructions or preventive maintenance, modifications, unauthorized repair, normal wear and tear, product finish, improper installation or maintenance, racing or competition, or accidents, abuse and neglect. Improper installation, poor maintenance, racing or competition use, and neglect or abuse void the warranty.
- Paint and powder coat finishes carry 90 days of defect coverage only, not wear from use.
- Claims: contact us first. Keep your proof of purchase or original invoice; removing the part from the vehicle and the inbound shipping are the owner's responsibility.

Control arms ship boxed with their hardware. Check each arm, bushing and joint, plus any brackets, against the part list in the TeraFlex instructions before you start. Check it as soon as it arrives.- Look for crushed ends, punctures or tears in the carton.
- If something looks wrong, take photos of the box and the parts (and if a driver asks you to sign, note the damage on the receipt).
- Open the box and check the parts against the parts list before you install.
