Description & Fitment
TeraFlex LCG Long Control Arms for the lower position of a 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ (front or rear) or the front lower of a 2004-2006 Wrangler Unlimited LJ, on a 3"-5" lift. Choose the arm kit (1447702) or a single arm (1978226). These are the adjustable arms only: TeraFlex says they must be used with its LCG Long Arm frame brackets and/or rear axle truss, which are not included. Expect an alignment, cutting off the factory control arm brackets, and welding when the brackets go in.

Does it come with brackets?
No. These are the arms only; TeraFlex says they must be used with its LCG Long Arm brackets and/or rear axle truss.
Will it fit the rear of my LJ?
No. On the LJ it fits the front lower only. The LJ rear lower arms are 1447704 (kit), 1644781 (driver) and 1644782 (passenger).
What is the difference between the options?
1447702 is the arm kit; 1978226 is one LCG lower arm.
What warranty does TeraFlex give?

Installation
Here's the short version. Follow TeraFlex's install sheet (below) for your Jeep's exact steps and torque values.
- Check the arm length before fitting: the arms leave the factory at stock length, and the sheet lists suggested starting lengths per position (for example 15-1/8" for front uppers, 13-1/4" for rear uppers); never go more than 3/4" from factory length.
- Install each Flex Arm with the grease zerk end toward the frame and the zerk facing up, out of harm's way.
- Grease the arm through its zerks before driving.
- Fine-tune length if needed: front arms adjust caster, rear arms adjust pinion angle.
- Retorque the lower control arm bolts to 130-145 ft-lbs and the upper arm bolts to 37-47 ft-lbs.
- Grease the arms at least monthly, and before and after every trip with heavy off-road use; skipping it voids the TeraFlex warranty.

Warranty
TeraFlex covers its control arms and IR bushings for life against defects in materials and workmanship. Alpine control arm bushings other than IR carry 1 year, and paint and powder coat finishes 90 days (defects only).- TeraFlex extends its limited warranty only to the consumer who first bought the product, and only on the vehicle the part was first installed on. It does not pass to a later owner.
- Coverage starts on the purchase date and does not restart if a part is repaired or replaced.
- For a covered defect, TeraFlex will either repair or replace the product (or the faulty part) free of charge or refund the purchase price, at its discretion, and it pays the freight to send a repaired or replacement part back to you.
- Not covered: damage from transportation, storage, improper use, skipped instructions or preventive maintenance, modifications, unauthorized repair, normal wear and tear, product finish, improper installation or maintenance, racing or competition, or accidents, abuse and neglect. Improper installation, poor maintenance, racing or competition use, and neglect or abuse void the warranty.
- Paint and powder coat finishes carry 90 days of defect coverage only, not wear from use.
- Claims: contact us first. Keep your proof of purchase or original invoice; removing the part from the vehicle and the inbound shipping are the owner's responsibility.

Inspect on delivery
Control arms ship boxed with their hardware. Check each arm, bushing and joint, plus any brackets, against the part list in the TeraFlex instructions before you start. Check it as soon as it arrives.- Look for crushed ends, punctures or tears in the carton.
- If something looks wrong, take photos of the box and the parts (and if a driver asks you to sign, note the damage on the receipt).
- Open the box and check the parts against the parts list before you install.
