About TeraFlex

TERAFLEX.

TeraFlex describes itself as a Jeep company at heart, started and staffed by people who drive them. It designs, engineers and builds suspension systems, shocks, axles and performance parts, with the Wrangler and Gladiator at the center of the range.

The company traces its roots to the 1950s and MEPCO (Military Equipment Parts Company), an early supplier of Jeep parts. TeraFlex Manufacturing followed in 1996 to build heavy-duty suspension for the TJ Wrangler, and today's catalog runs from full lift systems and the Falcon shock line to axles, steering and armor.

Authorized TeraFlex dealer. Prestige Truck is an authorized TeraFlex dealer, so what we sell is new and genuine TeraFlex. In TeraFlex's words, its limited warranty extends "only to the consumer who originally purchased the product," so keep your receipt with your build records.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do the full-float versions include brakes?

Yes. TeraFlex includes its Rear Performance Big Rotor Kit with 13.5" vented rotors on the full-float versions.

How do I pick the right part number?

Who should install it?

TeraFlex recommends a certified mechanic. Follow the TeraFlex instructions for the part, and take any torque values from those instructions or your service manual.

Installation

Install time 6 hours; 8 hours for 3460000, 3470000, 34700004
What's involvedBolt the axle to the control arms, track bar, sway bar links and steering, then connect the shocks, sensors and brake lines and bleed the brakes. Cycle the suspension to set bump stops and limit straps, fill the gear oil, fit new driveshafts and align.

Here's the short version. Follow TeraFlex's install sheet (below) for your Jeep's exact steps and torque values.

  1. Front Tera60: mount the axle to the control arms, track bar and sway bar links, then fit the tie rod (63 ft-lbs), drag link (77 ft-lbs pitman side, 63 ft-lbs axle side), shocks, wheel speed sensors and brake lines (banjo bolt 23 ft-lbs with copper washers), and bleed the brakes.
  2. Rear full float CRD60: fit the park brake backing plate (45 ft-lbs), greased hub seals, hub and outer bearing, and set the inner spindle nut at 50 ft-lbs while turning the hub, back it off 1/4 turn and index the pin in the lock washer.
  3. Torque the outer spindle nut to 160-205 ft-lbs, seal the hub face with silicone, fit the axle shaft (7/16" bolts 95 ft-lbs crisscross), rotor, caliper bracket (thread locker, 55 ft-lbs) and caliper (26 ft-lbs), then the arms, track bar, links, shocks, sensors and park brake cables.
  4. Mount the tires (135 ft-lbs for 8-lug) and, without springs or bump stops and with the arm and track bar bolts loose, cycle the suspension through full compression and articulation to check clearances and measure for bump stop extensions and limit straps.
  5. Fit the bump stops, limit straps and springs and torque the arm bolts at ride height; fill the front with 80W-90 to the fill hole, fill the rear to the cover's level plug, then lift each rear wheel 6" for a minute to flood the hubs and top off after each side.
  6. Plan for new drive shafts (length depends on the yokes used), align the vehicle, check all torque before driving, re-torque after 100 miles and every 3,000 miles or after four-wheeling.
