ZEON XP Party Mode Lighting

ZEON XP At Jeep Beach

A short clip from Warn of the XP on display and in use at Jeep Beach. Useful for seeing the winch fitted in a real bumper rather than on a studio background.

Warn HUB Wireless Receiver

The HUB receiver is built into this winch's control pack. Warn's video covers pairing the app, reading live status, and operating the winch from a distance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers on specs, fit and support

XP 12-S or XD 12-S? They pull the same.

They do, and that is the point: same platform, same motor and geartrain, same 12,000 lb rating. The XP adds live motor temperature, load and battery readouts, a clutch you can work from the remote, dynamic status lighting and the Epic hook in the box. If you winch a few times a year in daylight the XD is the sensible buy. If you winch regularly, at night, or on your own, the feedback is worth the difference.

What does the live feedback actually show me?

Motor temperature, line load and vehicle battery voltage, on the smart wired remote's display and in the Warn HUB app. Practically, it tells you when to stop and let the motor cool, when the pull you are attempting is heavier than you thought, and when the battery needs the engine to catch up.

Do I get wireless control, or is that extra?

Included. The HUB wireless receiver is built into the XP's control pack. Pair it to the Warn HUB app for control and live status from over 100' away. The smart wired remote is in the box as well, so a dead phone is not a problem.

How much rope, and what type?

80' of 3/8" Spydura Pro synthetic, pre-spooled, with an abrasion sleeve and heat-resistant inner wraps, plus the forged black hawse fairlead and Warn's black Epic hook. Spydura Pro is the higher-spec rope; the heat-resistant wraps protect the line from brake heat during long loaded pulls.

Is 12,000 lb the right size for my truck?

For most full-size pickups, yes. Warn sizes winches at roughly 1.5 times the vehicle's loaded weight, and a half-ton with a steel bumper and a loaded bed, or a 3/4-ton, lands here. Mid-size trucks and stock SUVs are better served by the XP 10-S; 1-ton trucks and camper rigs should be on the XP 14-S.

Can it be mounted behind a factory-style bumper?

Not usually. The XP is 23.89" long and 10.52" tall, a full-height winch built for open winch bumpers and winch plates. If a hidden install is the requirement, the low-profile ZEON XC 12-S is the model designed for it, with the control pack tucked below the tie plate.
